Ross smiled, humming happily as he made the girl's drink.
``What's got you all happy?`` One of his co-workers asked, chuckling.
``Nothing~`` Ross replied, taking the drink and walking around the counter, bringing it to the girl. ``Here you go,`` he said with a smile, setting the drink down on the table she sat at. -
Sae smiled and grabbed the drink, taking a sip. "Thank you," she said to him before reaching into her wallet and giving him the money.

``You don't have to pay,`` Ross said with a smile, gently pushing her hand and the money back. ``Consider it on the house.`` He winked at her, walking off to take more orders.

Sae's jaw dropped the slightest bit as he walked away, and then a big smile broke out on her face. Today's going so well, she said to herself. And he's so nice, I wonder what his name is.

Ross hummed as he continued taking orders, making drinks for customers and serving them. He checked his phone, letting out a relieved sigh. ``Break time,`` he said with a chuckle, pulling off his apron. He put his phone back in the pocket of his jeans, fixing the collar of his shirt before he walked into the kitchen area, making himself his own coffee. No one minded, and no one cared. Pretty much every worker did this on their break, so it didn't make a difference if he did.

Sae finished her coffee and decided to head out. Humming, she drove her car down the nearby park and sat down on one of the benches.

``So, tell me about that girl.``
Ross turned, seeing an older guy standing behind him with a smirk on his face. ``What about her, Will?``
``You were gettin' pretty friendly with her, if you know what I mean-``
``Oh William, leave the poor boy alone,`` a girl said, smacking him on the arm.
``Ow, rude. You can't just hit your boyfriend.``
She rolled her eyes, waving him off. ``So, what's her name? Did you get her number?``
``Oh, I never got her name or her number,`` Ross replied, taking a sip of his coffee.
``What?! Why not??``
``I just didn't think to.``
She sighed, rubbing her temples. ``You really need help with your flirting..`` -
It was peaceful at the park- Sae loved it. She stayed there for a couple of hours, reading Sense & Sensibility by Jane Austen. A few times, she turned back to look at the coffee shop a little ways away. She saw the boy through the window taking and orders and smiled. Turning back to her book with the smile still on her face, she continued to read.

Ross walked to the back, making more drinks. ``I still don't get why you're so hung up on this. One, it's not any of your business-``
``Well, I've made it my business,`` the girl said, crossing her arms.``
He exhaled, shaking his head. ``Anyways, secondly, I probably won't see her again, so why does it matter? It was probably just a one time thing.`` He paused for a moment, a wave of sadness washing over him. Yeah.. one time thing.. -
It was the next day. Sae headed to the coffee shop again- she goes there every morning for her drink. Opening the door to the shop, Sae sat down at one of the tables and breathed in the delicious smell of coffee.

Ross hummed as he wiped down empty tables, waiting for more people to flood the shop. ``Pretty slow day,`` he mumbled to himself, walking to another table and wiping it down.

Sae waited for someone to come take her order- there was not much else she could really do.

Ross looked over and sat a girl. More specifically, the girl with colorful hair he served yesterday. He smiled and pulled out his notepad, walking over to her. ``Hello again,`` he said with a gentle smile. ``What might I get for you this time?``

"Hi," Sae said with a smile. "Can I have a peppermint mocha frappuccino this time please?"

``Of course,`` Ross replied with a smile, jotting it down on his notepad before walking behind the counter, preparing her coffee.
