Theta whined a little but moved to get out of her lap so she could cook

Rosanne got up and went into the kitchen. She made something simple, but more than usual.

Theta padded after her curiously, tilting his head as he watched

She finished making her supper then sat on the couch and turned on the tv. She turned it to the sci-fi station.

Theta seemed startled at the tv, moving so he was hidden by the couch as he stared at it

Rosanne looked at Theta and reminded herself that he had probably never seen a tv before. She motioned for him to sit next to her.

Theta actually hissed at the tv, his vents flairing open and a sickly green glow seeped out from in them before he hesitantly moved to Rosanne's side

"What's wrong?" she asked, looking between Theta and the television

He made a sharp buzzing sound with his vents as he curled up next to her, sticking his face between her and the couch

"Hey," Rosanne looked at him. "What's wrong?"

"Hurt" he mimicked, seeming mildly distressed. It wasn't the best word to describe what was wrong, but if was the best one he had

Rosanne wasn't sure what it was, but the only thing that had changed from just a moment ago was the turning on of the tv. She immediately turned it off.
