Jessie made a shrieking noise and launched off of the tree. That was impossible! As far as they were concerned, that wasn't a power they knew existed.

He landed where she had been and lunged to go after her, warping again. This time as he appeared, you could see deep crimson markings twisting over his bones like snakes for several seconda before they fadded

Jessie weaved to avoid Error's attacks, unsure as to what the markings meant. "Erratum, what you're doing is wrong!" they cried. "Please, listen to me."

Error snarled angrilly at them in response. "I wouldnt bother with that. The creature only obeys me. And soon, so shall you" the War Lord said with a sinister grin, cracking the whip

Jessie spat at the warlord contemptuously. "I'd rather die," they snapped.

He just smirked as Error managed to sink his claws into her leg, pulling her down

Jessie hissed in pain, not wanting to hurt Error but realizing that they didn't have much of a choice. They wound their other leg back and kicked Error hard in the chest. Nothing too damaging, but forceful enough to hurt.

Error made a choked snarl as he was kicked back, his claws ripping free from her leg. He regained his balance and came after them again

Jessie realized that Error would go for them again and again without stopping. So they picked up the war lord and shot into the sky, their lungs burning for air.

Error made a panicked sound and rushed for an nearby way, quickly climbing it as tried to follow
The warlord snarled and tried to whip them to get them to let him go -

Jessie grabbed the whip and tried to wrest it out of the warlord's hand, but he was stronger so all they could really do was try to keep him from attacking. They had the bait, what next?
"Stop fighting me for JUST one second," Jessie pleaded. "I don't want to do this, but I will if I have to." -
The warlord just sneered at them before he abruptly twisted in her grip, looking at Error and barking an order. Erratum snarled and then lunged, teleporting several times in quick secession to reach them, landing on their back and attcking their wings

In surprise, Jessie dropped them, shrieking as their feathers rained down and twisting around frantically.
