Era hummex as he carefully removed the organs and bones, setting the head on a clean rock for later

She sprinkled salt lightly over the pan

He brought the fish 0ver to her

She put it on the metal tray and watched as it sizzled and smoke began to rise.

Era watched silently

Eventually she knew when one side had cooked, so she flipped them over with a stick, quick enough so the stick wouldn't catch fire. She put some dried nuts on the tray as well, they would go well with the fish.

Era hummed softly as he watched

As they got close to getting done, she gestured to a stack of makeshift plates in a hole in the wall. "Can you get those?"

He quickly got them for her

She put the fish and nuts onto the plates, and handed him one.

He thanked her as he took it

She took the other plate for herself and sat down on a rock to eat.

Eras wings twitched happily as he ate

She ate her food, smiling at the smoky flavor.

Era finished eating and started preening his wings
