Likalca finished her food and got up. "Do you still have the scales from cleaning the fish?"

He nodded and pointed to the nice pile he had made

"That's good. The scales can make good clothing if you get enough of them." She said, grabbing a thin gray slip-on shirt/vest thing, part of it covered in shimmering black, brown, gray, and more fish scales.
YES I KNOW FISH SCALES ARE CLEAR BUT LET'S JUST SAY THESE AREN'T-)) -
They also don't make good clothing?!?!))
Era stared at the shiny and got closer -

She grabbed one of the fish skins and started descaling it. -
No like fish scales dry out really fast and get dull and flaky)
He moved to help her. -

She took them out one at a time so she didn't break any. -
XD ok)
Era hummed softly as he helped -
"Can you get the scales out and I'll sew them onto the vest?" She asked. "It'll be faster that way."

He nodded "ok

She began putting the scales on the vest, sewing them on two sides and putting the black ones in a diamond pattern and the gray ones as the background.

Era soon finished collecting the scales

She finished sewing the scales as well. "Ok this is progress." She said, looking at the vest's pattern.

Era tilted his head to look at it

Likalca brushed her hand over the smooth, hard scales.
