"That's why I said you are to be," she said. "Now, let's get started. "What colors do you like?"
-
"I like…" Libra frowned. "Blue and light green. But anything’s fine, really," she said quickly.
-
"That works," The seamstress said. "Stand on the stool and I'll take your measurements."
-
Libra nervously raised her feet and stood on the stool, wondering what this was about.
-
The seamstress took measurements of her shoulders, bust, waist, hips, her height from her shoulders to feet, and so on until she was finished.
"I'll have your new clothes done in a jiffy," she said. -
Libra was unfamiliar with the term jiffy, but she didn’t show it and assumed the seamstress would get her clothes to her quickly. She thought about how overworked and tired the seamstress must feel.
-
Dorian had gotten ready.
The truth was he did have feelings for Libra, strong ones. He had hidden it behind princely attitude and manners, and such. He sighed as he realized that even though they were supposed to be married that she would probably never care for him in the same way he did. -
Libra and Dorian had grown close over the years, but the pink-haired girl wasn’t sure if she had feelings for Dorian or not. Sure, he was a great friend and all, and she liked him as a friend, but she was unsure how she really felt about the young prince.
-
They had a month before they were to be married. Only a month. A month to fall in love. Dorian felt like it shouldn't be that way. He didn't like having a marriage when Libra didn't want to.
-
The Matching Crown is twisted, Libra thought. I don’t want to be a princess just because I married the prince. I want to do something to deserve authority. Everything about their marriage felt so forced.
-
According to the Matching crown they were soulmates. He went to go find Libra. She'd either be at the seamstress or on her way back, so he headed in that direction.
-
Libra considered asking the seamstress to let her take a look at what she was doing, but she figured the seamstress needed some privacy.
-
True to his presumptions Dorian found Libra by the seamstresses. "Hey, can I talk to you or are you busy?" he asked.
-
Libra brightened immediately when she saw Dorian. "Yeah, of course! We could talk." Butterflies rammed the rims of her stomach.
-
Dorian led her into the hallway a little. "We need to talk about this...match stuff," he said. "According to the crown we're soulmates, and my father is right, the crown is never wrong. But if you don't want to do it we shouldn't."
