“Not until I’m allowed to come in.” He said. Axel continually rang the doorbell in an attempt to annoy her to let him in.
-
She shook her head, as if he could see it. "Just leave me alone."
-
The doorbell stopped ringing and all seemed quiets as if Axel had left. Until, a noise was heard from a nearby window.
-
*quiet)
-
Rasia gasped when she heard one of her windows opening. She walked backwards until her back hit the wall. Her eyes were enlarged with fear, and she had her arms crossed over her chest, as if to protect her from something.
-
Axel came into the room and smiled at her. “Hello,” He said, giving her a little wave “why so scared?”
-
Rasia took a few deep breaths and squeezed her eyes shut to collect herself. She opened her eyes again and said. "Stay away from me."
-
“About what happened, I didn’t mean to. It’s just something I can’t control.” He mumbled.
-
"You are treading on thin ice," Rasia said. "I don't care how much.you threaten me, the next time you cross the line I'm calling the police."
-
Axel looked down at his shoes sheepishly. He gazed up at Rasia and handed her the bouquet. “I’m sorry.” He mumbled.
-
Rasia tentatively took the flowers and looked at him in surprise. Axel was feeling genuine guilt. That didn't seem right. Axel and guilt don't belong in a sentence together.
-
“It may not be the best apology, but I hope it’s a start.” He said.
-
"I forgive you," she.said. "But I sure don't trust you."
-
“Better than no forgiveness at all.” He said. Axel took a seat on the couch. “So, how have you been?” He asked.
-
"How do.you think?" she said. She was still standing against the wall.
