"I've never heard you joke, actually," Rasia said.

Axel frowned. “Never? Why, I joke all the time!” He exclaimed.

"Ok, when did you joke last time?" Rasia said.

“A few minutes ago before we were having this conversation.” He said, tapping his wheel as they pulled into traffic.

"Before that," she rolled her eyes.

“Probably a day ago then.” He said.

"Probably when I wasn't around," Rasia said.

“No, I’m certain that I’ve joked around with you a couple of times.” Axel said.

"Well then they were probably unappreciated," she said and curled herself up in her seat.

“Wow, I’m heartbroken.” He said with an eye roll.

They sat in silence for minutes. Finally Rasia asked, "Why did you almost kiss me?" The question had been pressing in her mind. It seemed strange that he would want to in the first place. Not with a girl like her.

Axel was quiet for a second, but he finally answered her. "I don't know, it just felt right." he whispered.

"It doesn't make sense," she said.

"Love doesn't make sense, but hey, its still there." He said.

"True," Rasia admitted, then looked out the window again.
