Nickola nodded. "We will eat together for breakfast," he told her. On his way out he also said, "Welcome to Italy."

"Italy?" Reyna said, but it wasn't really a question.

"If you need proof you can try and stand on the seat on your window and see over the roof. I believe you'll see a great number of Fiats driving past us, no?"

Reyna was silent for a while.

A few minutes after Nickola left a stout maid walked in. She had a cheery, pleasant looking face, but there.was something hidden deep within her eyes.

Reyna snorted in disgust. Nickola had gone so far as to hire maids. "Hello," she greeted the maid.

"Hello, my dear," she said. "I'm Mabel. Been with this family for a number of years." If you could even call it a family anymore.

"Call me Reyna," Reyna advised Mabel. She said no more; she was utterly bewildered by the fact that Nickola had hired a maid. The man was indeed aloof.

(Nah, he's just rich and doesn't have the time to clean an entire mansion)
Mabel started dusting things off. When she neared Reyna she said quietly enough so that only the girl could hear, "Padrona, I am very sorry for what he's done to you." -
Reyna listened intently. "Does he, like, kidnap women on a daily basis?"

"Oh no," Mabel said. He has been talking about you nonstop for the past few weeks. He reads his emotions correctly, he is in love."

Reyna sighed. "Has he ever gone totally stalker-mode like now, or am I just his new lab experiment? He might read his emotions well, but not mine. I don’t want anything to do with him."

Mabel shook her head. "I cannot answer, I have said too much already, I am sorry. Goodbye, Padrona."
