"Hey Adrian, can you do me a favour please?" Jewel asked.

"What is it?" Adrian asked as he put his long leather jacket on. It wasn't as comfortable as the one Jewel had lost, but it still worked just as well. They'd be going outside.

"Can I PLEASE make Dinner?" she asked, giving him her best puppy dog eyes.

Adrian rolled his eyes. "No," he said. "Now get your coat on, we're going outside."

"Fine." she grumbled as she grabbed her coat off the coat rack and went outside.

Adrian led her a little ways away from the cabin. If her abilities popped up unexpectedly he didn't want his cabin to fall victim. "Now keep in mind," Adrian said as he stopped walking, "I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing."

"I'm sure you'll find out. Your smart like that." She said giving him a reassuring nod.

"Flattered, but I'm quite useless in situations I'm inexperienced in," Adrian said.

"Just try your best." Jewel said as Piper landed on Adriana shoulder, giving him a cheerful chirp.

Adrian rubbed the back of his neck. "Uhh...try setting those leaves on fire," he said, pointing to a small pile of damp frost covered leaves.

Jewel looked at the leaves and concentrated. She kept thinking fire, but nothing happened.
"Maybe I need to focus more." she said as she pushed herself to try and focus on the leaves. -
After awhile of nothing happening, Adrian finally said, "You look ridiculous."
(Just so you know I'll cue you in when her powers pop up. It might not be for awhile, I need to see where the plot goes.) -

Jewel rolled her eyes. "Well what do you do when you do magic?" -
"I don't have magic," Adrian said.

"Then how do you read my mind?" she asked, cocking her head.
