(The one that he put on her. It goes down to about the backs of his knees, so it'll probably be longer on her)
"I was by the river when I suddenly saw your hand peeking above the water. I knew something was wrong and so I went in after you," Adrian said, trying to explain without going into the whole Guardian, Lucifer wants you, you're the only hope to save the world, kind of stuff. "Not the best weather for a swim." -
“The cold waters balance out the warmth in my heart,” Sade grinned, sitting upright finally.
“I’m quite alright. Thank you for saving my life,” she said bluntly. -
The ambulance quickly rolled across the bridge and parked as a few medics popped out of the back of the car, rushing towards them.
"I can't let you die," Adrian said. He couldn't say it like a bam one and done, she'd never believe him, and plus the medics were soon there by her side. But he could try to hint at it. -
“I'm happy you have morals,” Sade said softly. She glanced at the medics, then back to Adrian, a fierce tone in her eyes.
“Hope you didn’t observe too much.” -
"I'm not a creep like that!" Adrian said, acting slightly offended. "What's your name? Oh boy now I do sound like a creep, don't I."
One of the medics approached the girl. "Would you be okay if we took you to the hospital with us just so we can make sure you're fine?" he asked her. -
Sade nodded her head in agreement, then snickered at Adrian. She thought about it, but decided not to answer his question.
It was best to comply with the authorities, rather than resisting. -
Make sure you give me back my jacket," Adrian called as she was led to the ambulance. "That's my favorite one I own."
-
(Going to fast forward a little bit if that’s alright).
After being discharged from the hospital, Sade returned to her home, where her mother had lived.
Her fingers touched, glided across the walls, felt the sheets of her mother's bed. Sade suddenly felt insanely tired, and let herself fall against the bed, drifting into a deep sleep. -
Adrian walked up the front porch to Sade's house. He knew that was her name. He had heard it in the verge of her mind when he had asked her. It was her, the one that everything and everyone depended on. He knocked on the door, hoping she'd answer.

bumping this, i’ll reply in a few minutes)

Sage groaned, and rose from her comfy spot on the bed. Her drowsiness would have to conceal itself.
She approached the door, and opened it cautiously. “Oh,” she spoke softly, as she recognized the man who had saved her life. -
"Hey, Sade, I just came for my jacket," Adrian said. Then he realized he had slipped up a bit. She hadn't told him her name yet. Hopefully she wouldn't notice. If she did, he had a lot of explaining to do.
-
Sade blushed in embarrassment. How had she forgotten to give his precious jacket back?
At least she was fully clothed this time. Well, besides any shoes.
Then she realized he had spoke her name. He said it to gracefully, but how had he known it?
“Sade?” She questioned. -
"Was I stuttering?" Adrian said. "And as for how I know your name, there's two reasons for that. One, is that your very famous in...certain circles. The other reason... you're not going to believe me if I told you."
-
Sade turned her head to the side then met back with Adrian's gaze. Something about his eyes threw her off. They were blue, much like the river she had almost drowned in.
In this moment, she felt drowned within his dark irises.
Sade snapped out of it and spoke again, “Sade? Is there something I've missed?” She was acting much more nonchalant than she probably should.
