"I don't know," Rebecca said, sighing as she leaned back on the bench with a slouch. "It all seems like a shot in the dark." -
Okie thanks))
"But there's a chance that we might hit the target," Alastair said, although his hopes weren't high. -
"There is," Rebecca admitted. "But we don't even know how big those chances are."

"You must admit that it's better than nothing," Alastair said.

"It is," Rebecca nodded thoughtfully. She took another bite out of the box of ice cream.

Rebecca seemed so calm, so collected. So tough. Alastair admired her for it, quietly watching her for a moment before glancing away in case she caught him staring at her.

"What do you usually do in your free time?" Rebecca asked.

"Honestly? I just read all day," Alastair said, looking out into the distance and laughing at himself.

"What books?" She asked.

"Anything I can get my hands on, really," Alastair said with a shrug, putting his hands in his pockets.

"What's one that you would definitely recommend," Rebecca said.

Alastair thought for a moment or two. "The Hobbit."

"Everyone seems to love that book," Rebecca said.

"I mean, it is a good book," Alastair replied.

"I think my mom is the only person that doesn't like the book,' she laughed.
