"Ooh, they look good," Alastair said with a smile. "I think I might try that chocolate covered bacon though." -
(*gasp* They're so good!
It's like...I don't remember what it's made of, actually.)
"Split some of it with me," Rebecca said. She grabbed a box of the candy cigarettes off the shelf. They were only a dollar. -

Alastair pulled a pack of chocolate covered bacon off of a shelf and then a small bag of mints. He set them on the counter and waited for Rebecca to bring her things over. -
(They're little thin white cylindrical pieces of candy that are...
Oh I know! It's like the Fun Dip stick but rougher)
Rebecca came over with the candy cigarettes and some chocolate and sent them on the counter. She reached for her pocket wherein laid her wallet. -
*winces* What's a...Fun Dip stick))
"Oh no, my treat," Alastair said, pulling out his own wallet and paying for the sweets. -
YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT FREAKIN FUN DIP IS?)
She begrudgingly let him pay. She didn't like other people paying for her things when she was perfectly capable of doing it herself. -

Alastair noticed the disgruntled expression on Rebecca's face but simply handed her the candy she had gotten. -
Rebecca took it and they walked out of the store together. "At least let me pay you back," she said.

"And why in the world would I do that?" Alastair said, tearing open the pack of chocolate bacon and handed her a piece.

She took a bite. "I don't like owing people," she said through a mixture of chocolate and bacon.

Alastair nodded in understanding, taking a chocolate covered bacon slice for himself. "You don't owe me anything."

"Then at leaset let me buy the next thing?" Rebecca said.

Alastair stared at the horizon, heaving a sigh. "You're pretty determined about this, huh?"
