Skypaw heaved a heavy sigh. "Yeah. It's a lot to take in."

She held her head higher, trying to show Skypaw she wasn't weak. "We'll find them, no matter what." Pyropaw mewed confidently.

Skypaw nodded, looking weary. He managed a small smile. "Of course we will."

She continued walking, and they approached Twolegplace. She looked at a big red metal thing in horror, she was the same size as one of its big black paws. "Is- is that a monster?"

Skypaw's eyes were large and fearful, fluffing up defensively before calming down. "It is, but I remember this one. It did not hurt me. But still, be careful not to wake it up."
Sharkpaw nodded. "I remember this place," he murmured. "It was our home." -
Pyropaw tilted her head slightly, forgetting he was from here. She turned to Sharkpaw. "Do you know your way around? Do you remember any safe paths?"

Owlpaw had almost forgotten that Skypaw, Sharkpaw and Rootpaw were all siblings. They were so different.
Sharkpaw looked to be a bit on edge. "Sort of. But our Twolegs had a dog. A big one." -
She widened her eyes. Pyropaw had never seen a dog. “Was it scary?”

Skypaw laughed a little. "Yeah. But it was kind. Me and my brothers learned its language."
As if on cue, a huge Siberian Husky padded around the corner, stiffening up when he saw the unfamiliar cats. -
She twitched her whiskers. "Cats can't speak dog!"
Noticing the dog, her fur spiked up and she backed away, bristling. -
"You can understand the basics," Skypaw said with a shrug, before noticing the dog and fluffing up defensively.
Sharkpaw let out a kitten like mewl and the dog's ears perked up. It whimpered a little and sniffed him, remembering the cat vaguely. -
Pyropaw hissed softly. "We should all run, while we can."

Skypaw nodded and flicked his tail at Rootpaw, who led Owlpaw after them. Sharkpaw purred and mewled to the dog to distract it.

She stayed close to Skypaw. "What the heck is Sharkpaw doing?"
