"But isn't soy a bean?" Phil protested.

"It is," Phillip said, "just like how a pea is a bean."

"Then why isn't it pasty?" Phil said, confused.

"It's fermented soybean paste and wheat," Phillip said. "And it's very liquidy."

"I don't understand, but okay," Phil said with a shrug. "Is that all or do we need other stuff?"

"That's it," Phillip said, and started steering the cart towards the beeping noises of the checkouts

"Let's go and get this stuff then," Phil said, following Phillip. He had no idea what his mom would think if she caught him making stir-fry with an alternate version with himself.

"Agreed," Phillip said. He soon got in line behind a few others with shopping carts.

The line went by relatively quickly and they were soon at the front. Phil plonked the items onto the counter, handing over the credit card.

Phillip bagged the few items and put them in the cart.

"Out we go!" Phil said, seizing the bag and running off with it, before realizing he had forgotten the credit card. He ran back in and retrieved it.
"Out we go, for real this time!" he said. -
Phillip rushed after him. "So what are we going to be about your - my - our - the mom?"

"Good question," Phil said. "We have to come up with some sort of distraction."

"For over twenty minutes?" Phillip said.

Phil groaned. "This is going to take a good deal of brainstorming."
