"Well, I hope it turns out well for you," Kenna said.
-
"Thanks," Ander said, turning the tab off. How was he supposed to do this? He heard people outside. His people.
-
"Who's that?" Kenna asked. She was nervous. Was it the people who had been chasing her?
-
(Gonna change that response)
Kenna heard something, but she wasn't entirely sure what it was. "What's that?" she asked nervously. She hoped it wasn't the people that had been chasing her. -
-
Ander peered out of the window, stalling for time. He needed to decide and fast. "People," he said. "I think they're looking for something...or someone."
Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. "Hide!" he whispered to her. -
Kenna didn't need telling twice. She found a closet and went inside it. She didn't close the door all the way, though, that way she still had a sense of what was going on.
-
Ander opened the door, letting a few people in. "Hello guys, how can I help?"
"Have you seen this girl?" one said, lifting up a picture.
"I might have," Ander replied, squinting at it. "I could have sworn I saw some red hair over there," he pointed far away from his house. "Probably just a bird."
"Thanks," they muttered, rushing out. -
(she has brown hair)
When they left, Kenna got out of her hiding place, a bit shaken, but she didn't show it. "I don't know how I can thank you," she said. -
Noooo))
"Then don't," Ander said calmly, boiling some hot water. -
Kenna looked at him, surprised. Then she realized they didn't know each other's names. "I'm Kenna," she said.
-
Ander put the fire out, pouring the hot water into two mugs. "I'm Ander," he said. "Do you prefer chamomile, lavender, or spiders?"
-
"Spiders?" Kenna said. "I think I'll stick with chamomile."
-
"Spiders, it is," Ander said teasingly. "I'm just kidding. Chamomile then."
He dunked a tea bag into one of the mugs, tying the string neatly around the handle before passing it over to her. -
Kenna smiled a little bit and took the cup. She saw the sugar bowl and put a bit of sugar in it. She knew how to make a good cup of tea. Once it was to the strength she preferred, she squeezed the tea bag of it's remain juices and took it out of the cup. She took a sip. Perfect. "Thanks," she said.
(There's a specific way for me to make a good cup of tea.)
