Isorin walks along the path, studying his nails and hardly looking up at all. This morning, he woke up feeling rather odd; perhaps it was his dinner from last night? He shakes his head, sighing. No matter. He could just magic it away, if he wanted to; but he was bored, and a little pain could do him some good.
-
Jessie slammed her head into her pile of textbooks with a groan. How was she ever going to make it through college? She was stumped on this one question, and she had no idea what the answer was. "What is life?" As if she knew.
-
The mage continues down the path until it leads him into a city. He pauses, looking up and staring intently at all of the various buildings. "Huh," he says, looking back behind himself to see where exactly he had ended up. "How odd."
-
Jessie flipped her textbook shut, standing up with a sort of blazing fury. She, Jessie, was not going to put up with the textbook anymore! She swung her door open fiercely and decided to get some fresh air, striking terror in the hearts of those nearby.
-
Isorin slowly starts walking again, this time actually looking up at his surroundings. He can't remember the last time he visited the city, but it couldn't hurt to explore it today, right? Thankfully, he's in rather casual clothing, so most people don't turn their heads to look as he passes them. Which is just how he likes it; he only wants people watching when he's doing something flashy. Walking around definitely isn't flashy.
-
Jessie inhaled deeply. It was city air, but it was still outside. She decided to get a coffee and not think about her studies at all.
-
The more he walks, the more distracted Isorin gets. He's daydreaming about reading more spell books; what did he want to learn today?
He's so distracted that he ends up bumping into Jessie without even realizing it. He quickly snaps to attention, glaring at her angrily. "Hey!" He says. "Watch where you're going!" -
Jessie raised her eyebrows at the stranger. "Excuse me? You should watch where you're going!" she retorted, her temper getting the better of her.
-
Isorin glares daggers at her. "I wouldn't say that to me, if I were you," he warns her. "I've hexed people for just looking at me. I doubt you want that. I'll forgive you if you apologize, girl."
-
"Hexing people?" Jessie said, with the hint of a scoff. "Go ahead and try. I don't believe in that sort of stuff."
-
Isorin attempts to do just that-- but, as he holds his hands in a funny position and chants, he realizes that it's not working. Awkwardly, he tries again, only to end up with the same result.
-
Jessie's face lost its stony expression as she watched Isorin. "Does this normally work for you?"
