Isorin glared at her, dropping his hands. "Of course it does. I'm not a mere mortal." He tilted his chin upwards. "You should still apologize. You're the one who bumped into me."

Jessie huffed. This person was very, VERY stubborn and arguing with him wouldn't get them anywhere. "Okay, fine. I still don't see how it's my fault, but sorry."

At this, he relaxed a bit. "Good. I accept your apology." Isorin looked away from her, glancing at the surrounding buildings. "What is this place called, and why are you here?"

"I live here and I'm trying to get through college," Jessie said. "Do you not know where you are?"

The mage squinted. "College.. No, I'm not really sure where I am." He looked slightly embarrassed as he admitted that, but there was no point in lying to her. "I vaguely knew that this city existed, but I've never actually explored it until now."

"You're in the marvelous place we know as New York City," Jessie said, spreading her arms wide. "Where pollution is high and crime runs rampant."

"New York City..." Isorin crosses his arms, sighing dramatically. "That sounds rather problematic, especially if my magic isn't working right now. Perhaps we should go inside. That is, if you intend to keep holding a conversation with me."

Jessie resisted the urge to roll her eyes. She wasn't exactly the patient type. "I was just going to go get a coffee. Do you want to come?"

He debates the notion for a moment. He doesn't exactly have money on hand, but he is rather interested in learning more about this stranger. He sighs, waving a hand. "Sure, why not? Lead the way, miss."

"With pleasure," Jessie said, leading the way. "So first things first, what's your name?"

"My name is Isorin," he replies, grinning slightly. "What about you, hm?"

"Your name is Isorin, huh?" Jessie said, the hint of a smile on her face. "I'm Jessie."

"It is." He glanced over at her and noticed she had a strange smile on her face. "Is my name odd?"
