Harper started following Robo, realizing that he wanted him to follow him. He had found a spot that fast?

Robo lead Harper to a wide and obvious cave, his tail wagging happily.

Harper knew that they'd find them pretty soon if they searched the forest. But he wasn't going to be too picky. "Thanks, Robo," he said with a sigh. He went into the back of the cave and laid Crypta down

Robo panted dog breath all over Crypta's face and then curled up against her side, his eyes glowing softly as his metal skin heated up.

Harper leaned up against the rock wall. He tried to stay up and keep watch, but he soon drifted to sleep.

A pale autumn sun dawned over the forest, sending frail rays of sunlight into the entrance of the cave.

Harper woke up. Luckily they hadn't been found. He shook Crypta awake. They needed to get going as fast as possible.

Crypta slid away frantically from Harper, before she recognized that it was him. "Good morning," she said.

"We should get moving," Harper said. "We'll be walking."

"Oh, why is that?" Crypta said, heaving her backpack onto her shoulders.

"They'll have seen the car we're in, and we used your credit card," Harper said. "We need to get going."

Crypta rubbed her eyes. "What about the horse I gave you? You know, the backpack one."

"Right," Harper said. Then he realized, "It's back in the car."

"I'll go get it," Crypta said, standing up.

"You don't even know where the car is," Harper protested.
