Vitalus looked behind them

There were several people charging after them, but they were quickly shrinking into tiny yelling specks.

Vitalus giggled and spun

"Goodbye!" Elytra said, teasingly waving at them and nearly toppling off.

Vitalus darted next to her

"Oof!" Elytra said. "Thanks, Vitalus."

Vitalus trilled at her

Tetra came to a halt. They were in an odd forest and she began to feel scared. She smelled other monsters, but they didn't seem like the ones from the compound. They smelled far wilder. She neighed nervously.

Vitalus chittered softly at her to calm her

Tetra calmed down a bit, but she was still quivering with fear. Elytra decided not to unsheathe her sword. Perhaps peace could be achieved.

Vitalus flared his wings and hissed at the trees

"Easy now," Elytra said. To whom was a mystery, but the tense atmosphere around them was not eased. A draconic creature with inky black skin and glowing blue spots hissed back at Vitalus, its eyes narrowed with distaste.

Vitalus buzzed his wings and moved to hover next to Elytra

Elytra bared her teeth and made a hissing noise back at it. Slightly put off, it slithered out of sight. Suddenly, without warning, it turned around and launched itself at her.

Vitalus shreiked and slammed into it
