Sephantus just kept moving so he was on top

The beast's maw streamed thick magma, dissolving whatever was nearest.

Sephantus was compleatly unaffected by the lava, ripping large peices off the thing

The pieces flew back on, clinging tightly to the creature's magnetic skin. Elytra managed to pierce a part of it when Sephantus tore away its protective armor.

Vitalus tried to help, pulling at tge armor

After a while, the bleeding creature slid back through the portal, closing it after him.

Sephantus got off of it as it left, roaring in victory

Elytra sighed in relief, but still felt uneasy. She had a feeling this wasn't going to be the last time she saw it.

Vitalus hovered next to her, grinning

"Good job, Vitalus," she said happily. "I'll just do without an arm for a while."

Vitalus trilled and flew around her

Elytra smiled. Vitalus was quite cute.

Vitalus looked at Sephantus as Fang checked him over

"Is he okay?" Elytra said.

Fang nodded "a few scratches to his shell but that will go away when he molts next" sge said
