Griffin had finished setting up two tents while they were talking.

"A few more," Kendril sighed, and startd putting up another one.

"it's not as hard as building a house." Griffin said.

"Well, I have to say I've never built a house before," Kendril said.

"I have, it's one of the few things I can do to help people in the lower quarter while keeping my job in the army." Griffin said.

"I started working in this uniform a few weeks ago," Kendril said. "Before that I was an apprentice to a blacksmith."

"I don't even know what I was doing before joining the army. I just remember waking up one day and remembering that I'm in the army." Griffin said.

Kendril looked at him. "That's strange," was all he said.

"yes, yes it was." Griffin said.

Then they were done setting up. The others had made a fire, and were heating their food over it. Kendril walked over to them to join them.

Griffin decided to go for a walk.

Kendril saw Griffin leave, and decided to leave him to it. Sometimes people just needed to be alone.
