Ardis tapped the button and reappeared in the woman's house. But there was no longer a house. Instead, in its place, was the horrid head of a dragon.

Phen froze, his tendrils spiking up as he looked around in alarm

Ardis let out a strangled sort of yell. "Who, what...?"

Phen took to tge air to look around

Ardis dove out of reach of the jaws of the dragon.

Phen hissed something at the dragon, sounding like a phrase in another language

Ardis clutched the child protectively. The little girl had woken up and wrapped her arms fearfully around the blue-skinned stranger.

Phen glanced at them as he flew at the dragon

Ardis sucked in her breath. What was Phen doing?
