Ardis used that ability Phen had taught her so long ago to help him. She flashed lights near the dragon's face to blind and distract him. -
Phen flared his wings wide and screeched a challenge at the dragon

The dragon roared at him, lifting its wings up and chasing after him.

Phen quickly shot upwards

The dragon, being much larger, had more trouble maneuvering. He shot a geyser of hot lava at Phen.

Phen folded his wings and dropped like a rock to dodge it. He flaired his wings to avoid hitting the ground and took a deep breath, his wings becoming frosted

The dragon whipped his tail around at Phen, his mouth glowing with white hot flames.

Phen twisted to dodge, flipping on his back before firing a blast of ice at the dragon

The dragon growled and melted the ice that had covered his muzzle. He flew above Phen and dove at him, his large mouth rippling with heat.

Phen pulled up and corkscrewed past its face, blasting ice at its eyes

He roared with pain as the icicles pierced his eyes. He glared at Phen threw the blood trickling down his face. "Thief," he hissed.
