"I took nothing!" Phen hissed

"My treasures," the dragon hissed. "They were stolen, and you carried them."

"That doesnt mean i stole them!" He hissed back

"You might as well have snatched them right from my lair!" the dragon protested. "You participated in this trickery and you knew!"

"The woman needed the coin to get her hatchling back!" Phen snarled

"She is selfish," the dragon said. "Those that die should remain dead. It is the kindest thing to do. She has cursed her hatchling!"

Phen growled quietly. "I understand that. But we had to do it so she would help us end this stupid war!"

The dragon pondered this for a moment. "I understand what you are doing. But that coin must return to the lair, or the consequences are high."

"Ill see what i can do" Phen agreed

The dragon nodded and flew away, leaving nothing but the smoldering ruins of the house.

Phen sighed and landed

"What happened?" Ardis said. "He just left."

"He agreed to leave if we got tgat coin back

"How are we going to do that?" Ardis said, still carrying the little girl.

"No clue" he said with a sigh
