Ardis heaved up the duffel bag, where Flix was innocently eating the lady's food. Luckily for him, Ardis didn't notice.

Phen looked back at her

Ardis was looking around. "Where's Death?"

"Do i look like i know?"

"I suppose not," Ardis said. "But I have no idea."

Phen shrugged and then looked around

Ardis spotted a gleaming palace in the distance. "What's that?"

Phen squinted at it "i dont know

Ardis walked toward it. It was gold and white, oddly pristine compared to its surroundings.

Phen followed her

A magnificently robed man with a long silvery beard appeared to greet them. "Hello, weary travelers."
Ardis was momentarily stunned. -
Phen looked spooked, flairibg his wings a little while the tendrils on his head fanned out

"Who are you?" Ardis said, holding her sword out. The man was not in the least disturbed.
"I am Death," he said calmly. -
Phen blinked and then shook himself, calming down
