Eventually the song began to fade away, and Flix just looked sad, making a low crooning noise.

Phen sighed "sorry bud

Flix's ears drooped and he layed down on the ground.

Phen looked back at the forest

The eyes were gone, as well as their song. Flix curled up on the grass and fell asleep again.

Phen sighed and looked up at the stars

Ardis woke up. She had heard an eerie song, but didn't know where it had come from.

Phen twitched his tail and looked at her

"Did you hear that?" Ardis asked. "That song."

"If you mean that annoying sound those creatures where making, yes.

She spotted Flix curled up next to her legs and picked him up. "What's wrong with him?"

"He was trying to go to them, ibstopped him" phen said

Flix twitched in his sleep. Ardis looked confused. "I wonder why he was trying to go after them."
