Ardis almost dropped Flix. "He can talk?"
"Feeeeeeesh," Flix repeated. -
"Apparently"

The sky was getting brighter and the weather was perfect as usual.

Phen started getting up

Ardis offered Phen a piece of cheese that was still in a reasonably good condition as she placed Flix into her bag.

Phen took the cheese amd nibbled on it

She ate a piece of bread and fed Flix a scrap of meat, before continuing on their journey.

Phen looked at his damaged wing as they walked

Ardis hacked away at the plants, making a rough trail through the paradise. The plants seemed to thicken into walls, trying to trap them inside. Ardis torched them.

Phen frowned at the plants, his tail twitching in annoyance

Finally, they burst through the plant wall, sunlight shining brightly. Ardis let out a sigh of relief.

Phen grinned at her

"We made it," Adria said. "Thank God."
