The glowing lamplike eyes of creatures were visible among the plants, watching almost resentfully.

Phen hissed at them

The eyes blinked, before the owner of a pair of jade green eyes sang an eerie sort of song.

Phen tilted his head in confusion

The others followed, and the eerie song progressed, louder and louder. Flix's eyes got wide, and it was clear he was being affected by it.

Phen noticed and looked at him

Flix scrambled to get free, wanting to head right to the siren like creatures.

Phen slammed his tail on top of him to keep him in place

Flix protested, scrabbling at the ground.
