Ardis unfolded a sheet and spread it over him.

Phen blinked at her

Ardis smiled at him before leaning against a tree.

Phen huffed and tucked his wings under his head

Ardis closed her eyes, her hands intertwined.

Phen yawned, curling up

She listened to the chirruping of the crickets and to the quiet hum of the wildlife.

Phen dozed off, snoring softly

Ardis fell asleep, trusting her instincts would warn her of any danger.

Phen rolled over

Ardis woke up the next day with an odd weight on her chest. She opened her eyes and saw a cat like creature with four eyes perched on her chest.
"AAAAH!" she screamed, backing away. -
Phen shot up when she screamed, only to yelp and fall as he stood on his own tail

The creature innocently blinked at Ardis as she pointed her sword at it. "Back," she commanded.

Phen managed to get up and shook himself before walking over

The creature tilted its head at him before blinking with its many eyes.
