"Ok, that's fast enough," Megan said as she got on her bike. "Follow me," she said, as she started pedaling.
-
Antauri ran as fast as possible so as to keep up with Megan and not outrun her because he didn't want to lose her.
-
Megan was pedaling as fast as she could, which was actually pretty fast for biking. She followed the familiar surroundings as she rode on the streets to her house. Finally, they were there. It was a rather small house, but she liked it.
-
Antauri saw the house and said "Oh, nice. Looks pretty cozy." He then asked "So where do I sleep?"
-
"Um . . . would you prefer the bed or couch?" Megan asked. "I don't care either way." She opened us the front door and walked in. "I think the bed would be better for your size, though."
-
Antauri said "Oh, I thought I'd just sleep on the floor. But I guess I'll take the couch. I don't wanna take you away from your bed."
-
"You can sleep where you want," Megan said. "But I was talking about the guest room."
-
Antauri said "Oh, okay. I'll find a spot, I know I will. For now I'll just relax in safety."
-
"Alright," Megan said. "So where are you even from?" she asked.
-
(bump)
-
Antauri answered "Well, most humans don't know this, but there exists a dimension full of monsters from your folklore. Every monster from your human folklore exists within this dimension and it is because some humans saw us that you even have these legends in the first place."
-
"So there's Dragons?" Megan asked. "And griffins, and mermaids, and trolls, and goblins, and gnomes, and dwarves, and elves?" She was starting to get excited.
-
Antauri answered "Yes. And youkai, and selkies, and yours truly, the Wendigo." He then said "You see, the barrier between these worlds is so thin, that if someone was smart enough, they could break through, explore the human world and come back. Or not if they don't want to. Worked for Bigfoot."
-
"Aw, I'd love to go there," Megan said. "So can you get back though this barrier? To get back home?"
-
Antauri sarcastically said "Yes, but I decided not to because I relish the idea of strange men following me." He then said "Only if someone came here on purpose could they come back. My arrival here is a complete accident, so I can't return the way I came."
