"With all this stuff?" Megan asked, spreading out her arms to exaggerate the fact that they were going to be hauling a bunch of stuff up there.

Antauri said "The only heavy thing is the generator. The building probably already has a satellite dish on it. Most do nowadays. We can carry everything except the generator in a large bag of sorts. So what's the problem?"

"Nothing, I guess," Megan said. She just hadn't thought it through.

Antauri said "Right, so shall we go get the supplies then?"

"You can't come with," Megan said. "People will see you. And I doubt you'd make a very convincing dog."

Antauri said "Well, I could go get the water. You said there was a spring nearby right?"
(I'd like someone to visit so Antauri has a reason to hide.) -
Megan nodded. "In the forest by that cave you hid in," she said.
Then there was a hard knock on the door. Megan whipped her head towards it, then to Antauri. "Hide," she whispered loudly. Then she went over to open the door. -
Antauri said "Kay." When he heard the knock, he ran to a hall closet to hide. He hoped the stranger wouldn't come in or look in the closet.

Megan opened the door. "Yes?" she said. There was an official looking man on her doorstep.
The man peered at her. "Where are your parents?" he asked.
Megan looked at him weirdly, as if wondering if he had just come there to see if her parents were there. "They're not here," she said. "They won't be for awhile."
"I see," the man said. "Well, there's a creature running about, and I want you to report anything . . . unnatural."
"Yes sir," Megan said.
The man looked at her again and nodded. Then he turned on his heel and left. -
Antauri slightly opened the closet and peaked out of the crack. He asked "Are they gone?"

Megan closed the door. "I think so," she said. "But I fee like he's suspicious of something."
