"Ok," Megan said, and rushed into the basement. The place was a very messy organized mess. She hopped over the cooler, and climbed one of the sturdy wooden shelves that were bolted to the wall. She searched up there for the tea set, and found it. She grabbed a cup, and leaped of the shelf, barely avoiding a tote bin full of clothes she had out-grown. She set the cup on a lower shelf as she looked for the silverware. She climbed another shelf, and saw the wooden box it was in. She slid it forward, to the edge of the shelf. Then she leaped off the shelf, and stood on her tippy-toes, and grabbed it. She grabbed the tea cup, took a long step over their camping stuff, and got out of the storage room. She went back up the stairs, and put the things before Antuari.
(this is basically my basement.) -
Antauri looked at the silverware, and studied it. He held it, smelled it and bit it. He said "Yup, that's pure silver alright. Now all we need is the hot plate, generator, cauldron and satellite."
-
"And the salamander, spider, and water," Megan said. "We could just use the stove top for it, right? Or I think we have a hot plate in the garage."
-
Antauri said "No, we need the hotplate. Unless you think starting a fire on the roof of a building is a good idea. But I think you could be arrested for that."
-
"Oh, I should have figured that out," Megan said, resisting the urge to face palm. "Ok, but can we do this tomorrow?"
-
Antauri said "Okay. It's best to get some sleep now." He then sat on the couch and said "Have a good night."
-
Megan nodded, and want to her room. She got into her pajamas, plopped into bed, and fell asleep.
-
Antauri found it a little hard to sleep as he was staying in an unfamiliar location. This made him nervous in the monster world so now that he's in the human world, he was more nervous.
-
Megan woke up to the loud sound of her alarm clock. She rolled out of bed, and struggled to find the right button to turn it off. I thought I turned the thing off . . . she thought. Her head was ringing from the loud noise, but she was awake. She got dressed, and went into the living room. Then suddenly all the events from yesterday washed over her.
-
Antauri was sprawled out half on the couch and half on the floor, snoring. He didn't hear Megan come in as he is a very heavy sleeper. It was only when he choked on his own snore that he started to wake up.
-
Megan saw him wake up by natural means, not by loud alarm clocks. "I'm surprised my alarm clock didn't wake you," she said. "That thing is so loud."
-
(bump)
-
Antauri said "Oh I'm a pretty heavy sleeper. You could play a radio full blast and I won't stir."
-
"Hm, ok," Megan said. She grabbed two oranges and tossed one to Antauri. The other she started peeling for herself.
-
Antauri, completely counter to Megan, simply put the entire fruit in his mouth, rind and all, and ate it that way. Because of his lack of lips he was kind of making a mess of juice on the floor. He said "Oh sorry. Do you have paper towels or napkins?"
