Androw followed after the others. He chose to sit beside Seth, not wanting to accidentally sit or brush against Grace's dress. "Yeah, I am curious to know who the host of this ball is. Are they a Downworlder, or..?"

Erissa gave Matthew a small smile in greeting, following Astra into the carriage. She chose to sit beside the warlock, leaving Matthew with his own seat. Once she settled down, she piped up, "Are you both excited to attend this festivity?" -
Grace smiled pleasantly. “ ah yes, a vampire in fact. His name is Edward Wallace. And I trust him, I wouldn’t lead us into a dangerous situation.” She explains calmly as the carriage begins to move. “ but I didn’t tell Evalina, for obvious reasons.” She shrugs.

Astra smiles pleasantly at Erissa. She nodded at her question. “ ah yes, I haven’t seen Edward in a long time you see, he hadn’t been taking many visitors until now,” she says. -
"Is there ever something you're not hiding from her?" Seth asked Grace. "Honestly, it's all you ever seem to do."

Matthew sat down. "Well, considering my circumstances . . ." he said, "Yes, I believe this is going to be very exciting for me." -
Androw looked between Grace and Seth, concerned that there might be a slight argument about to break out. "How'd you meet this Edward?" he asked, intrigued. "I can't imagine how a Shadowhunter like you met and befriended a vampire."

Erissa hummed, kicking her feet back and forth slightly. "What is this ball in honor of? And just who has been invited? Matthew will want to meet guests that can help him.. Understand our world better." -
"She's rebellious," Seth explained. "She does things just to annoy the Head. But it is strange, considering our relationship with them. All Shadowhunters seem bent on wiping out all Downworlders. I wonder how we'll be seen at the ball."

Matthew stayed silent. He didn't know what to say or what to do. He didn't know what other kinds of people there were, or what their customs were. Better not to say anything, then do something wrong. -
“ I was at the cemetery.” Grace shrugs. “ won’t go into detail but I saved him, and he said I reminded him of someone.” She says.
“ and besides, what evalina doesn’t know won’t hurt her.”

“ there will be some werewolf packs, and the like. And ...Eddie hasn’t disclosed to me the nature Of this party, other than just being a simple ball.” -
"So, do you think that as soon as we get there we'll be burned at the stake?" Seth asked. "Or are they doing to be civil to us?"

"So anything could happen," Matthew said, pressing his lips together. -
“..well I, unsure of exactly what groups will be there, which is why I brought my whip. Just in case.” She murmurs.
“ but no, we should be fine, I’ve attended balls before...the one time I remember being endangered was because of a warlock fight.”

“ well, potentially...I should warn you, Eddie has a fondness for a young nephiliam. I’ve never properly seen or met her, but there is a slight chance she may turn up.” Astra warns, mainly to Erissa.
“ I doubt she will attack, but just be aware.” -
Androw had been quietly listening the entire time, but at the sound of being burned, his face flushed with concern. "Oh.. By the Angel, we're really walking into a death wish, aren't we?" He shifted in his seat, rather nervous. "I do hope you're right, Grace, and that we're going to be.. Fine."

At the mention of Nephilim, Erissa leaned forward, puffing. "He doesn't know what those are, Astra," the fey scolded. "You're going to have to explain why this girl is a threat to him and our existence.." -
"Grace tends to bring us into death traps," Seth said, shrugging mildly. "But they usually end up being rather enjoyable. But I'll let you know from experience, that vampires hold grudges like no other."

"You're correst," Matthew said. "I do not know what Nephilim are. The only knowledge I have of them is from the Bible." -

“ I’m a responsible young lady, I would do no such thing.” Grace states blankly. “ So do not start any fights.” She warns them both.” There will be Faeries, vampires, werewolves and warlocks. Edward is held in high regards so we must not jepordise his reputation but attacking his guests.”

“... ah yes, the nephiliam, or shadow hunters are...odd creatures created by the angel raziel, they’re enhanced humans essentially. They use special weapons and ability enhancing markings to hunt down and kill demons, and ...some down worlders. But do not fret, you are in no danger.” -
"We shall not fight unless fought upon," Seth said in a dignified and sophisticated way.

"No danger?" Matthew said. "You're telling me that there could possibly be . . . Nephilim at this ball that might kill me and I'm in no danger?" -
Androw couldn't remember the last time he interacted with a Downworlder without his parents. And the more he thought about it, the more it dawned on him that he hadn't ever done that before. "I agree with Seth," he said. "We will be civilized.. Unless they choose not to be."

Erissa made a face. "They're definitely a danger, but if the nephilim is a mere child, I'm sure they'll behave themselves out of fear. Once we figure out who she is, we can just avoid her.."
