"It's not like we can go back," Alia said. "And this is the only lead we have."

“I mean.... we could just leave and forget all about this.”

"Leave how?" Atalith asked. "If you have an idea, please, speak."

"it might not KILL me." Elaine said

“Oh.” Skye remembered how the cave entrance had been blocked off.

Alia kept her eyes sharp. Suddenly, she saw a big murky lake. There was no way across, and she saw a slimy fin cut through the nasty water.

Atalith saw the fin. "Shark!" she said loudly but calmly.

“That’s it. I’m out.” Skye sat down stubbornly, “I refuse to become fish food.”

(Fish are friends. Not food.)
"You just have to be calm, and it'll leave you alone," Atalith said. -
Alia stared at it carefully. "That can't be a shark. It would've died because of the polluted water by now."
A pair of bulbous yellow eyes stared at them out of the muck, unblinking. -
"What in the world?" Atalith said out of surprise.

"whatever, can I kill it now!" Elaine yelled getting more brash And disorderly.
