“No offense, but nothing would want to be in this creepy cave.”
-
"It's not even creepy," Atalith said.
-
“Yes it is. Look at it! Creepy writing, ancient toys, it’s dark, moist, nasty, and full of spiders!” She said angrily, flinging a spider into the air.
-
"What's wrong with spiders, exactly?" Atalith asked.
-
"exactly, spiders are my thing you know. TAKE THAT BACK OR I'LL START AN EARTHQUAKE!" Elaine yelled with a hint of insanity in her voice.
-
Atalith raised her eyebrows. "I'm usually the one with the threats around here," she said. "Who are you and what've you done with Elaine?"
-
Skye glared at Elaine, “You wouldn’t. Spiders are bad. Didn’t you see what happened to Spider-Man? He was bitten and extremely abnormal. Not like any of us are normal anyways...”
-
Alia brushed her fingers over the chiseled words.
Very few survive the path you wish to take. Only the strongest, smartest, bravest, and most intuitive shall pass.
Alia continued down the tunnel, dreading whatever lay ahead. -
Atalith raised her hands in exasperation of Skye and Elaine, and followed Alia, illuminating the words as she went past them.
-
Alia supported the crumbling tunnel with more precious jewels, although every now and then some rocks would fall near her head.
-
Skye winced as a small gem bounced off of her head, “Ow...” The tunnel seemed to be getting darker, even with Atalith acting like a human torch.
-
Atalith shined brighter so that they'd be able to see easier.
-
Alia shot an apologetic look towards Skye, not wanting to speak. She wasn't sure that her voice would be sturdy enough
-
“What’s down here anyways?” Skye asked, rubbing the spot where the gem crashed into her head, “What if there’s nothing?”
-
"Well, considering how Alia is reacting, I'd say there's something," Atalith said.
