Honeymoor and Raytail backed as much as they could in the crack just enough for Thunderbolt and Minnowleap to fit.
“Where’s Comet?” Honeymoor asked, she hadn’t seen the tom. -
I CAN'T STOP))
"I don't know!" Minnowleap said, sounding a bit muffled as she pushed Thunderbolt's tail down.
Thunderbolt watched the mountain lion. -
Comet stood behind the mountain lion, a frightened look on his face as he noiselessly called for help.

Thunderbolt crawled out and yowled to catch the mountain lion's attention. While he was doing that, Drift crept up on it, waiting to pounce.

Comet nodded a thanks and ran to another slit in the earth, big enough for his size. He crawled to the back and watched the others, he was in no fighting condition. His paws had been cut from the sharp rocks and his side was bruised.

After the fox was gone, Adder noticed the cougar and crept silently up to it. “Wish i cam at a different time, but who cares?” She thought to herself. When she was close enough to smell the creature she darted beneath its legs and then back again trying to distract it from the others.

Thunderbolt coiled for a spring as the mountain lion came at him. Just before he was caught, he jumped, flying over the lion's back and blinding it in one eye.
The mountain lion roared with pain and sent a heavy paw at Thunderbolt, which he just managed to avoid. Drift bolted out and raked her claws under the creature's belly.
Minnowleap threw herself on top of it, biting its scruff for support and scrabbling at its neck. -
Honeymoor leapt at the cougar, aiming to blind it. With a single slash she blinded it in its other eye.
Comet watched the whole thing unravel before him. He lowered his head knowing he wouldn’t be any use. Spotting the cougar’s cubs he yowled out to the others, “Don’t hurt it anymore! It has cubs!” -
I was actually considering making an OC that was like, a lynx or a mountain lion. Their mentor would be like "da hecc" when their apprentice just ⬆))
Minnowleap jumped off of it, her eyes landing on the cubs. She softened.
Drift only bristled more. "That's just more killers! We can't afford to have mountain lions trying to chew our hides off all the way!"
Thunderbolt had backed away, although ready to attack again. -
Adder had been dodging the paws of the creature. “This thing is just trying to protect its cubs!” She yelled over the noise. “I’m not going to ruin a defenseless kit’s only hope of survival!” She hopped back as the cougar turned and glared at her through its yellow eyes.

Honeymoor yowled at the others, “It won’t hurt us, it knows we’ve beat it!” She said as she leapt away.

"What about those cubs? I'm not going to say that I like the death of innocents, but they're going to grow up to be murderers too, if this momma gets the chance," Drift said, jumping off of the mountain lion.
"But they're not murderers yet," Minnowleap pleaded. "We're just passing through, so they won't be a problem!" -
Honeymoor leapt away and ushered Comet up the rocky slopes.
Raytail followed Honeymoor and Comet, “Come on, guys!” -
Drift let out a low growl, but followed all the same, helping Minnowleap up the rocky slope as the silver tabby attempted to limp along.
Thunderbolt distracted the cougar before calling to Adder. "Come on, let's go!" -
Raytail looked over at Adder, wondering if she’d come along.
