Tjruna crossed her arms. "Either this is some extraordinary information, or you're scamming us." She sighed and tossed him a coin. "Talk. And if I'm impressed, you might get more after."
-
Trafalgar said "What do you want to know?" Dorvakin asked "Do you know of any enemies the king may have?" "Ah information on the king. I think I know of a few, if you're willing to pay up more." answered Trafalgar. Dorvakin gave him some more coins and said "I heard through the grapevine that the kings court of advisors has a high turnover rate. Lot of them getting fired for not doing their jobs well."
-
"Any notable characters?" Tjruna waited, then sighed then tossed the man another coin.
-
Trafalgar said "I think one in particular was a wizard named Cintaur. Or maybe he wasn't a wizard, I can't remember. And coins ain't gonna help" He then had a thought and said "Wait there was one more. Drustak. The guy was uber mad when he was fired I heard. You won't find either of them here though. No one knows where they went after they were fired. That's all the info I have."
-
Tjruna nodded. "So this Cintaur guy might be a wizard and this Drustak guy was less than thrilled by his sudden unemployment. This is a good lead. Thanks." She turned to Dorvakin. "This one was a good call. my informant has likely hit his usual place of business; he should be able to get us a quick and discrete transport to the location of the crash."
-
Dorvakin said "Excellent. We should get there post-haste. Thank you for your time Trafalgar and for the information." Trafalgar said "No problem. I'll see you around." and he walked away.
-
Tjruna nodded to Dorvakin. "Alright then, try to keep up." She began to lead the way through the streets, which was starting to be replaced by a different sort of crowd as the sun set. She didn't stop until she'd reached a shady looking bar near the river, which also happened to be near a shipping yard, full of carts that had just returned. She turned to her partner. "Keep especially quiet in here. Half the people in here have a bounty on their head, and if anyone finds out you're from the guild the other half will try to take yours."
-
(I hate to ask, but you wouldn't want to join my Apocalypse Sky roleplay, would you?)
Dorvakin nodded and walked with Tjiruna into the bar. Though he had done this before, he took the liberty of double checking to see if his seal in his coat was visible. It wasn't so no worry there. -
Tjruna didn't stop as she made her way to a darkened corner of the bar. Sitting in the shadows of a booth was a short man, who looked up as soon as he heard the two approach. He flashed a grin with a missing tooth. "Well well well, look what the cat dragged in." Tjruna sat down across from him, and he looked up at Dorvakin. "Picked up a puppy, have you? And I thought you worked alone." Tjruna scowled.
"I'd hold my tongue if I were you, Mavrog. Unless you want me to take out another tooth."
(Sure, if you still need people! I'll check it out a little later) -
(I really need more people, that's why I asked. Here's the link for you: )
Dorvakin watched the interaction between the two and just kept quiet. He wondered what other interactions they have had to talk like this to each other. -
Mavrog took a large sip of his drink. "You want something, obviously. You always do." Tjruna rolled her eyes at him.
"You're in the business of doing favors. We need a transport. Inconspicuous. Fast." Mavrog flicked his tongue through the gap in his teeth.
"Oh? Where to?"
"West." She consulted the map. "A quiet road near Vreiwher."
"Vreiwher, eh?" He leaned back. "I think I can help. A friend of mine owes me a favor. He's got a cart load of fresh barrels heading towards a distillery nearby. Leaves tonight at ten. I suppose I could convince him to get along a little faster than usual." He turned to Dorvakin. "But first thing's first. Where in the world did this lady find you?"
(I'll be there) -
Dorvakin said "She didn't. A person who wishes his identity remained anonymous thought we were partners when he gave us an assignment that must remain a secret."
-
Mavrog grinned again. "I like secrets." He took a final sip of his drink and stood, making his way through the bar. "Come along then!" Tjruna looked at Dorvakin and nodded, following Mavrog out the door.
-
Dorvakin followed them, and kept looking around. No one seemed to notice anything suspicious, which was a good thing, but he still stayed on his guard.
-
Mavrog led the two to the shipping yard next door. There, a man was loading barrels onto a cart. Mavrog the man and began to talk to him, but Tjruna was too far away to hear what he was saying. After a bit, he returned to the others. "My friend's agreed to let the two of you ride with him. It'll be about a day's travel and won't cause suspicion." He turned to Tjruna. "We can talk about how you can return the favor later on."
