Roman blinked, “ baby, I can’t let you sleep on my head.” They said softly.
Their room was very beautiful, decorated in pastel colours. Blue and white, with fairy lights and anima” motifs. They’d even painted a spectral doe and a deer on the wall. “ and I need to do homework. “ they sighed.
Mia smiled gently “ see Kuri and Aaron are good children!” -
(So they’re in Roman’s room alone?)
“I’m a sexy child.” Lucy told her, not caring if she was good. -

Roman tried to lift her of their head, as they did few their curtains shut. “ alright then.” They sighed. They removed their shirt and moved to take of their trousers, as they laid their tank top and pyjama bottoms on the bed. -
Echo flew off his head and sighed as she landed on the floor, transforming to her true form, wearing a dress that was a gentle black like her feathers. “Please don’t scream, I... I felt a bit guilty so I thought I’d reveal the truth before I left...” She whispered, looking away from him as her blushing cheeks matched her flaming red hair.

Roman almost screamed and imminently threw on their house coat, “ you’re-you’re a women. .............I-I was half naked holding you to my- holy f---! “ roman said. Focusing less on the brid being a women and more in the fact that she must think they were some kind of a creep.

Serina huffed but did as told and ate dinner but did it unhappily

“I-I’m Sorry. I didn’t expect this. To be honest... I didn’t really think anything through... I don’t really think before I do things...” She admitted, turning around. “I know it’s a shock... I even shock my own people. I just knew I needed to reveal myself and leave before... they come back... Ugh... she’ll have my head for this...” Echo attempted to explain, knowing Clover had a location spell on her by now. “It doesn’t sound like you’re too loyal to your parents... Would it be odd if I asked you a favour?” Echo asked, feeling embarrassed, nervous, and yet hopeful as her flustered features made her hair look orange with their blushing.

“What? No, no... Nothing like that.” She replied, hearing a car pull in. “Meet me at the corner store near your school tomorrow and I’ll explain. If you don’t come I understand.” She whispered, biting her bottom lip as she turned to the window. “Oh, and... by the way... Yeah. You are pretty sexy.” She whispered before turning back to a raven and flying out the window. -
Roman nodded at her request before they turned red, and walked out of their room with their homework.
“ ok! I have officially lost it! They said brightly. They sat down just as David came in.
“ hey there sport.” The hunter said and then sighed. “ Roman, buddy that’s a girls shirt, a young boy like you shouldn’t be wearing his sisters clothes.”
“ like I told you last time, David, I am not A boy.” They said mood now soured. “ I’m going out. Serena, want to go to the arcade?”
“ now you wait just a minute-“ -
“Honey, let Roman wear what she or he wants. They need to like us remember?” Minerva whispered into David’s ear. “As for leaving, the Arcade is closing at this time. We have a rule about leaving after dark.” Minerva told him. “Why? Why can’t we leave after dark?” Lucy asked. “Do I have to explain again my darlings? At night, the darkest parts of humanity lurk the streets. The things they do to children they see wandering is unspeakable, not to mention how they fear what is different where we love you for being different.” Minerva explained softly.
(Now a more fun version of what she just said.)
Minerva then walked over to Roman with a soft expression. “You want to go outside? Why, Roman!” She sighed, running a hand through her child’s hair. “Look at you, as fragile as a flower...” She spoke to all her children. “Still a little sapling, just a sprout...” She sang, kissing the child on the forehead before walking over to the couch. “You know why we stay here in this cabin- That’s right! To keep you safe, and, sound dears...” She sang, looking to her children with loving smiles before turning to Mia.
“Guess, I always knew this day was coming...” She sang sadly as she brought Mia up from her seat and studied the girl with a sad expression. “Knew that soon you'd want to leave the nest...” She sang, placing a hand on the girl’s cheek. “Soon, but not yet! Trust me pet... Mother... knows, best.” She sang, spinning to the light switch and turning off the lights before turning on a flashlight.
“Mother knows best, Listen to your mother! It's a scary world out there... Mother knows best! One way or another, Something will go wrong, I swear!!!” She sang, returning to the couch. “Ruffians and thugs, poison ivy, quicksand, Cannibals and snakes, the plague!” She sang, going faster. “Also large bugs... Men with pointy teeth, and Stop, no more, you'll just upset me!” She cried as she hugged Mia. “Mother's right here! Mother will protect you. Darling, here's what I suggest...” She sang to Mia with a soft smile as she pulled away. “Skip the drama! Stay with Mama... Mother, knows, best.” She sang dramatically before spinning to the lights and turning one on.
“Go ahead, get trampled by a rhino...” She cried. “Go ahead, get mugged and left for dead!” She sobbed. “Me, I'm just your mother, what do I know? I only bathed, and changed, and nursed you...” She sang, hugging Roman as if the child was the most dear thing in the world. “Go ahead and leave me, I deserve it! Let me die alone here, be my guest! When it's too late, you'll see, just wait... Mother knows best!” She told them.
She then pulled away from Roman before walking over to Lucy and pulling her up off the couch. “Mother knows best! Take it from your mumsy, On your own, you won't survive. Sloppy, underdressed, immature, clumsy! Please, they'll eat you up alive! Gullible, naive, positively grubby, Ditzy and a bit, well, hmm, vague.” She sang, causing Lucy to laugh a bit and roll her eyes, though there was a bit of guilt in them. “Plus, I believe gettin' kinda chubby... I'm just saying 'cause I love you!” Minerva sang gently before hugging Lucy. She then walked over to Selina and spun her up off her seat, hugging the girl and running a hand lovingly through her hair. “Mother understands! Mother's here to help you. All I have is one request...” She sang before walking to Mia and Roman, looking both children in the eyes before looking to all her children. “Children?” She asked to get their attention. -
Roman looked unimpressed. “ I’m eighteen, I’m responsible enough to look after Serena at the arcade, which is open until two am. It’s nine. Besides, I’m not even that different looking. “ they said tone bitter.
“ no means no, go to your- whose been cooking venison.” David asked annoyed, he’d planned on using the venison in the fridge for a chilli when his hunting buddies came overnight for poker night the next day.
“ you didn’t leave us money for dinner, so Mia made venison. Since I bought the venison with my own money.” Roman said with a scowl on their pretty face.
Mia sighed. “ I’m making meatloaf Tommorrow , Roman got everything yesterday.
“ besides, singing a song from a Disney movie doesn’t explain anything, Roman and I are both old enough to move out.” Mia said.
“ but honey neither of you know how to look after yourselves.” David tried. -
(Can we pretend that the movie tangled doesn’t exist in this world since that song was perfect for that situation?)
“Yes I know my dears. I am making arrangements for you two to live elsewhere, just please trust me. All I want is to protect you, you have no idea what dangers lurk outside, especially during night.” Minerva explained. “And darling, I think your hunting group can find something else to make for dinner. You are hunters after all.” Minerva told him. She knew if it looked like she was on the children’s side they would trust her more. -
(Ok so I have a plan. When they try to sell Mia to her new owner they tell her it’s a body gaurd/driver that will take her to her new home. On the way however, Mia’s sister’s crash the car and kill the body gaurd to get her. Mia doesn’t understand what’s happening and thinks they are attacking her, then Minerva comes in last minute to ‘save’ Mia. She then takes Mia home and explains that the real reason she’s been so over protective is that she is a monster hunter and the monsters that killed their families are trying to finish the job. This will be how she earns their trust and makes them believe the monsters are their enemies. Roman however will remain sceptical because of the monster he already met.)
