Kurieite smiled as he watched "maybe she already has a name. I read somewhere that ravens and crows are really intelligent and can learn to speak human languages" he said cheerfully before blinking "wait. Why can i remember that but not if i ate breakfast?"

If Echo was in her true form, she would be blushing brightly at this moment. She cooed gently, wondering how to tell Roman her name without freaking them out.

She then heard what the one boy said, feeling a bit relieved. “Echo.” She Squawked, trying to make it sound as natural as possible. “Echo’s a Pretty bird!” She squawked. This was humiliating, but a feeling inside told her it was worth it. -
Aaron just scoffed. To him, birds are just birds. He thought nothing extraordinary about them.

Roman’s eyes widened. “ raven....raven don’t have the vocal chords to speak the hu-n-no I’m just hearing things, obviously , but Echo is a very elegy name so I’ll call you Echo,” they said as they scratched under her chin. “ you’re so beautiful aren’t you, Lucy, Serena, come meet Echo, my new bird,”

Echo cursed herself mentally for believing the first excuse she could find, but was relieved that the girl ignored it.
“Not interested.” Lucy muttered, watching My Little Pony on max volume to bother people. -
"They dobt need vocal chords to speak. I cant remember how they do it but ita kinda like parrots i think?" the small teen said, frowning in thought

“...oh I see.” Roman hummed like they understood.” Lucy, you will come look at my pride and joy or I will eat all your cereal in front of you.” They threatened airily.
Mia woke up and groaned. “ another pet?” She sighed.
“ Roman, the parents will flip.”
“ nah, David let me keep the last bird just because now I said please, and he’s too dense to notice she’s a different bird, sometimes I swear he’s too focused in leering at me, like hello I’m your child, not a person in a nightclub.”
They gagged -
Aaron plugged up his ears and said "I'm leaving now." and he went to his room to finish his Godzilla film.

“That’s What you said about the last pet, and the one before that, and the one before that, and. Every. Pet. After. That. What’s so different about this one?” Lucy muttered. Echo listened curiously, knowing she was just another pet, but she was secretly hoping Roman felt something.

“ she’s the most gorgeous bird I’ve ever seen, her feathers are so sleek, I love Clementine but his fur isn’t as soft as her feathers.”
“ well he is a wild deer.” “ Mia snorted as she dishes up the venison, we’re eating his uncle probably.”
Roman looked horrified before shrugging.
Roman then groaned. “ it’s too damn hot in here. They threw their shirt off. They placed echo on their lap while doing this. -
Btw the ravens being able to speak thing is an actual thing they can do. Im not sure why Kurieite knows this but he does)
Kurieite looked between the two, worried that a fight would break out as he fiddled with his hair -

(Yeh she knows but she an attention seeking bird. Lol)
Echo felt very flustered, pretending to clean her feathers to distract herself. She knew she would have to eventually reveal herself, and that she was in dangerous territory, but she liked danger, and she wanted to see where this would go. -
Lucy chuckled but ignored earlier threats.
