“That sounds great! We haven’t gone out in a while. Um, do you think it’ll be busy?” He asked quietly as they neared the front double doors of the school.

"It might be," he said, walking up to the doors and pushing one open. "School is over in less than a week, and students have to celebrate somewhere." He laid his body against the door, waiting for Jacob to go through. "Hey, do you know what college you want to go to?"

"Probably nowhere fancy." Jacob said dismissively. "Unless you have any plans?" He walked through the doors and waited for Callum.

Callum moved away from the door, watching it close shut behind him. He wasn't sure if he had an answer; after all, he never really liked thinking about the future. "I applied to the local community college. I'm going to start out there, get all of the useless classes out of the way. After that... I dunno. We'll work it out together, I'm sure." He smiled at Jacob. "Hey, guess what?"

Jacob smiled at Callum. Talking of the future - despite being together for a few years now and almost having finished senior year - was a conversation they didn't have often. "What?" he asked sweetly.

"I love you," Callum declared, suddenly moving over to Jacob and wrapping his arms around him to give him a tight hug. He leaned close to the other boy's face, giving him a teasing smirk. "I love you so much that I could just.. Kiss you. Right here, and right now. Would you like that, Jacob?"

Jacob felt his face heat up. This is what he had fallen for - this sporadic, random, goofy young man. Jacob couldn't wait to spend the rest of his life like this, with frightening uncertainty around every corner. Usually, he would try to avoid such things. but with Callum, anything seemed possible. "Of course, you big goof." he said quietly in response.

Callum leaned in closer and kissed his lover, closing his eyes as soon as their lips touched. He poured as much passion into the kiss as he could. He didn't want to pull away, not even for a second. However, a catcall from the lingering students made him break away, giving Jacob a small smile before taking his hand. "Let's get to my car, yeah?"

Jacob leaned into the kiss, unaware of most of his surroundings, until the call from the other students drew him away, somehow more red in the face. "Mhm." he responded sheepishly.

He led Jacob out to the school parking lot, avoiding the cars backing out or the widespread group of teenagers conversing amongst themselves. When they got to his car, he pulled his keys out of his pocket, unlocking the doors. Callum opened the passenger door for Jacob. "Here you go, my prince~."

Jacob let out a little giggle and stepped into the car. "Oh why thank you, my love~!" he said back.

Callum waited until he was safely inside to close the door shut. He threw his own backpack into the back seat, sliding into the driver's seat and pushing the keys into the ignition. He buckled his seatbelt, looking over at Jacob with a big smile. "Do you have a preference on where we get the ice cream from?"

"Can we go to Jeni's? I love their ice cream!" Jacob asked, slinging his own backpack into the backs seat as well. He shut the door and buckled up, because Jacob is a 'safety first'
kind of kid! -
"Yeah, that works." Callum looked behind himself, double checking that no one was walking past the car, before moving the car in reverse and leaving the parking lot. "How are your parents doing?"

“Ah - same same. They never get along, never can go to long away from each other. How about yours?” Jacob asked, rocking back and forth in his car seat like a toddler.
