Silver said "Knight wait, are you sure about this? I don't really trust this dog."

"It's just for a day,love. Plus,If he tries to hurt our pups,I'll put him down myself." Knight replied as she lightly pressed her muzzle to Silver's neck affectionately.

Silver smiled and said "Alright, you can come with us. But you leave after tomorrow." Duke said "It's a deal."

"Let's rest somewhere safe,Don't want any hunters to find us." Knight said as she carefully picked the pups up.

Silver helped her carry the pups and Duke followed them. He kept looking around to see if he could find his master. Maybe they might stumble onto him.

Knight kept her gaze ahead as she stayed alert.

Silver spied a cave and guided everyone over to it.

Knight walked inside before laying down,placing the pups beside her so they could feed.

Silver made sure everything was fine lay down next to Knight. He asked Duke "So how exactly did you get lost?" Duke said "It just happened so fast. My master was looking through some traps he laid out to catch rabbits. Just then, a bear came out of no where and started attacking the camp. I ran, thinking my master went the direction I went. By the time I figured out he wasn't, I was hopelessly lost."

Knight's ears lowered slightly "Bear attacks happen often, My mate got attacked by one and that was when I was heavily pregnant with pups so I had no energy to help him.."

Silver nodded and said "That's how I got a scar on my nose." He then asked "This bear, did it have damage to it's ear?" Duke answered "I don't know, I didn't look long enough to see it."

"That bear is a serious threat here,Making it hard for us to find decent den to rest in.." Knight said as she rested her head on her paws.

"Yes, his name is Lockjaw and he's lived in this forest for a long time. He's a bigger threat than most because he's too stubborn to hibernate." Silver said.

Knight curled around the pups out of fear,her ears pressed tightly against her head.

Silver got closer to comfort her.
