"Okay. What made you loose interest?" Nia asked, studying Alex curiously. At least they were getting close.
-
"I just got bored of it." He shrugged, walking around th room. Though it was an hour and a half, Alex would have to wait two hours. He was quickly losing patience, but he had to be as patient as he could.
-
"Are you okay? I guess we can drop the subject of books if it's not your fancy." Nia sighed as she looked at her feat, hoping she wasn't being a bother.
-
"Yeah, it's fine. I'm just waiting.." Alex said, focusing at the ground.
-
"For what?" Nia asked, resting her chin on her hand and her elbow on her knee.
-
"Don't worry about it" Alex said, circling the room "It's official student council business". Holy crap, did he just lie? He did. Oh god. Well, he did what he had to.
-
(Where is he going?)
"Alright." Nia replied. "So you've already read a verity of books. How about I list some books, and you'll tell me if you either haven't read it or liked it?" Nia suggested. -
(Nowhere. He's waiting to do something)
Alex simply nodded, tapping his finger against his lips -
Nia smiled and took out a random book. "Anne of Green Gables?" She asked, looking up at him. Her gaze got stuck on his lips for awhile before she quickly looked away, blushing slightly as she put some of the other books aside.
-
"Read it, didn't like it"
-
"Alright, how about Charlotte's Web?" Nia asked.
-
"Classic" Alex stopped, chuckling "Loved that one"
-
Nia smiled, glad to find one they both liked. "Yeah, it's a really good book. Though, in case you haven't noticed, I like most classics." She chuckled as she handed him the book before getting another random book. She paused when she saw the book. Lord of The Flies. A book her father got her when he found out she loved classic novels. This was the first classic she didn't like. Not just because of who gave it to her, but because of the chaos and that it was easy to lose track of what was actually happening. However it also represented the chaotic relationship between herself and her father. Nia went into a trance like state, unwanted memories coming to mind as she studied the book.
-
"Isn't that the one about those 12 year odls who get stuck on an island? They kill each other and stuff?" Alex asked, continuing to walk around
-
Nia snapped herself into attention when she heard his voice. "Yeah... Not my favourite book, I don't know why I keep it." She chuckled awkwardly, showing it to him as she looked in the box for another book, not wanting him to notice her distress. Then again, he probably couldn't notice her emotions if she wrote them out for him in a book. However that was probably a good thing, considering her feelings for him.
