Cassady nodded. "Well it would probably help the mission if we at least tried to get along." She replied, rolling her eyes at him.
-
Daniel said "True. It would also help if we knew where to start."
-
"Well, What do we know about the wizard? And what do we know about the artifact?" She asked him, knowing the ice knights were famous for their knowledge and memorie the same way fire nights were famous for their bravery and recklessness.
-
Daniel answer "No one knows the full ins and outs of the Skull of the Underworld. All we know is that it is stated to be an artifact made from the depths of Hell. If used in the wrong hands, it could turned normal people into skeleton slaves."
-
"Okay... How would one use it? If we know what he'll need to use it, that will narrow down the options of where we would find him." Cassady asked.
-
Daniel thought for a moment and said "He'll need petrified darkness crystals, iron, the blood of a unicorn and a baby dragon's tail."
-
It took all her strength not to react to that. A... Baby dragons tail... And Unicorn blood!?! The purest of all creatures, and the purest age of a majestic creature, must suffer in order to use this? "Well, I guess that's what you'd expect from the dark arts. Where would we find those? We can stake out at the locations and ambush him." Cassady asked calmly, hiding her true reaction.
-
Daniel said Well if I know people like Mordac, hed probably go after the one that is the easiest to find. That would be iron. And the only place to get iron that I know of is Stonetown. Easily a days walk from here.
-
"Okay. Is there any faster way to get there? We would need to get there first. We are already behind." Cassady asked, purposesly throwing unnecessary annoyance in her voice.
-
Daniel said "We could take a horse, but my steed is sick. Do you have a horse?"
-
Cassady nodded. She didn't ride her horse often, because her teacher ran the stables. She trained it well though and she does ride it three times a month at least. So the horse is in good condition. She didn't want to admit that she didn't like her teacher. So Cassandra took a deep breath and waved for him to follow him. "She's in the stables. Let's be quick." Cassady told Daniel.
-
Daniel followed her to the stables.
-
"Why hello Beautiful. Back so soon?" The teacher asked with a raised eyebrow as they approached the stables. Cassady took a deep breath to hold in her reaction. She needed to get along with this Ice Knight. So since reacting aggressively to a teacher was a very disapproved action, she held her anger and uncomfort in. She couldn't risk the Ice Knight disapproving her. "I'm here for my horse." Cassady told him, trying to keep the fear and anger from her voice. "Of course." He cheered, stroking her arm as he reached to get the stable key. Cassady shivered and frowned. The only real defence she had right now was to step back. The teacher smirked at her and lifted an eyebrow before walking closer to her.
He stood over her, looking down at her. He knew that she couldn't push him off, so he stroked her back as he handed her the keys to the stable. "Good luck beautiful. I shall be waiting for your return." The teacher told her, patting her bottom on his way out. Cassady closed her eyes tightly, took three deep breaths, and mentally counted to ten to calm the anger in her chest, shivers in her nerves, pulsing in her thighs, and tension in her mind. Then she walked to the stables to unlock her horse's stable. She was a bit violent with the lock. -
Daniel could clearly tell something about the stable man bothered Cassady. And he did seem rather inappropriate in talking to her.
-
Cassady stopped wrestling with the lock and took a deep breath to calm herself down. She didn't want to spook her horse. It wasn't Claire's (that's the Horse's name.) fault. She took another deep breath and opened the stable. She went in and hooked up a harness for two people on the horse. She wasn't looking forward to sharing the horse with a male. But this needed to be done. And she wasn't about to owe her teacher a favour in return for a second horse.
