''I suppose so,'' Embla said, thinking over her words as she ran her fingers over the tattooed symbol of Earth on her arm. ''Seems like a good idea to not only helping others from Malice but, understanding us as people,'' she commented, grinning. ''Anyway, Norik, how are we supposed to be safe from the Malice? I'm assuming Guardians can be infected as well, correct?'' Embla questioned, her attention to the old wizard.
-
Norik said "Incorrect. That's the other thing the symbols are for. When you have these symbols, the malice can't corrupt you. It would take a direct blast from Malechor for you to be corrupted."
-
"Yeah. I think he said that earlier." Matilda told her. "One more question. How do we cure those infected? These guys aren't a fan of the current cure we know of." Matilda told the wizard. Sally frowned but stayed silent. She hoped she wouldn't have to pay for Matilda's hand anymore, remembering the pecks from the bird. That was the first time an animal in its own free will attacked her.
-
''Indeed that is true, the only way to cure anyone of the cruse is to kill them,'' Embla mentioned, rolling down her sleeve and slipping on her fur coat. ''I highly doubt anyone would even hurt a fly, well besides Matilda and I,'' Embla said, rubbed at the leather straps on her hands. ''Even if we do kill the infected, who knows where the parasite of a cloud goes...'' Embla mentioned, deep in thought about the Malice, wondering if she could get test samples.
-
Norik said "All the more reason to go find Bomonga. He will give you the specialized weapons that will kill only the Malice and not the host. For now, unfortunately, killing is the only option." Gamma said "I was afraid of that." Norik said "Do not despair, Gamma. For now, aside from Grantor's village, the Malice is only affecting animals. And dangerous ones at that."
-
"Sally could use her magic to defend us so we can use as least killing as possible." Matilda suggested. "Okay." Sally agreed, happy to be able to prevent harm to the innocent creatures.
-
''So, then the faster we're done with this the better right?'' Embla said, standing. She stretched a bit, quite excited about returning to her shed before truly starting the quest.
-
Norik said "Yes, and you had better hurry. You are this worlds only hope." Gamma said "Aren't you gonna come with us?" Norik said "I'm afraid not. I'm much too old to be fighting Malice. But I will join you later when you need me most. Now go."
-
"Just when I thought this couldn't get more corny." Matilda mocked, rolling her eyes. "Okay. Where to first then?" She asked, gesturing for Sally to stand up after she stood up. Sally stood up and walked hesitantly to Matilda's side.
-
''Well, first things first,'' Embla ran her fingers through her hair, brows furrowed. ''I want to return to my shed, I'm not leaving with my tools,'' Embla said her gaze shifting in the direction of the shed. The direction of her shed would most likely result in dead birds turning up. ''I could go alone unless someone wants to tag along,'' Embla mentioned, knowing well some of her team members wouldn't like such a sight.
-
Grantor said "You heard what Norik said, we need to go to Hocatate. That's where Bomonga is." Gamma heard what Embla said and answered "I'll go with you."
-
"Okay." Matilda replied before turning to Embla. "Hold on. What do you need from this shed?" Matilda asked.
-
''Oh, you know, just some tools,'' Embla said with a grin. ''It is a shed, and my workplace,'' She added, surely to miss her unfinished projects. ''Just to keep my accompany on this journey,'' The blue-greyish eyed Dracomorph turned her attention to the robot. ''Are you sure? There are some decaying crows along the way,'' She warned, the same grin plastered on her face. ''Well, if you still want to come, then hurry along I'm pretty sure some people don't like waiting,'' Embla mentioned with a shrug as she began walking in the direction of her shed.
-
Gamma was worried about what Bart's reaction might be to dead crows but said "That'll be okay, I can't smell them anyway."
