Alexandra thought she heard something. She looked around the living room before standing up and walking to an extra bedroom she hadn't cleaned out yet. The room was a little girls bedroom. It had a bed which oddly looked like it had been used recently. It had a pink char and blue carpet. There were butterfly stickers and pink curtains on the window. It had two dressers which were dark blue and old fashioned. And... Well... Maybe she was mistaken... She must have been... Alexandra thought she saw two bright blue eyes staring at her from under the dresser.

When Lily saw the woman who now owned the cottage she quickly closed the trapdoor and climbed down the ladder, but since she was being so quick the trapdoor closed too loudly and Lily was bound to get caught.

Alexandra heard a loud noise. "There must be a trap door here." Alexandra whispered, looking under the dresser. Surely enough, there was a trap door. She grunted as she tried to lift the dresser. It must have taken at least ten minutes. But she had managed to move it.

Lily was panicking, she knew was going to get caught, she ran around the secret room trying to find somewhere to hide, but of course there was nothing, but she continued to search anyway.

Alexandra opened it and looked down. She heard someone moving down there and climbed down. Being careful not to fall, she climbed down slowly. She wondered what was down there. What if it was an animal? Or a ghost?

Lily heard the trapdoor open and someone start to climb down the ladder, so she grabbed her cat pillow, ran to a corner and hid behind the pillow even though it wasn't big enough to hide her.

Alexandra saw a little girl hiding in the corner. She walked up to the girl and sat on her knees. "Who are you? Are you okay?" Alexandra asked.

Lily put down the pillow and looked at her, "I'm Lily, I'm okay." she said, she didn't like that she was caught.

"How long have you been here?" Alexandra asked, looking around the room. It appeared to be a cellar that was turned into a play room.

"Forever!" Lily said cheerfully, "Who are you?"

"My name is Alexandra." Alex told her. "Was this your parents house? Or are you lost?" She asked, being as gentle as possible despite her panic.

"This was maybe my parents house, I don't remember." said Lily, this lady was nice, "Do you like the pillow I made?" she asked her, showing her the cat pillow.

"Yes. It's very pretty." Alexandra replied. "Would you like to come upstairs with me? I have some books you can read." Alexandra asked, standing up and offering her hand.

Lily smiled, "Okay!" she took Alexandra's hand and stood up.

Alexandra took Lily up the ladder. She took out some children's books and and an apple and gave them to Lily. She then went back to her computer. "What's your last name Lily? Do you know?" Alexandra asked.
