Amelia heard her phone ring nad answered and said"I'm little busy,what's up?" a little irritated

Jack said "I uh, heard a rumor at school that you stole something from the general store. Is this true?"

Amelia paled amd said"Yeah......."

Jack sighed and said "I wish you had told me earlier. I could've helped."

She snapped"I didn't need help,I was a runaway" and slamed her phone on the bed

Jack heard a loud thud and said "I can help with your money situation."

She said"My responcibilty , nto yours Jack" and hanged up on him,countinuing tou count the money

Jack said "Why won't she let me help her?"

Amelia sighed in relief when she had enough money to pay or the first things she stole

Jack decided to confront her face to face. He left his house to talk to Amelia.

She unlocked her window,opened it nad climbed up in the tree , hidden from sight

Jack came to her house and knocked on the door to try and talk to Amelia.

Her brother answered the door and said "Who are you ? What do you want?" He was in college
Amelia was in the tree humming -
Jack said "I wanted to talk to Amelia."

Her brother raised a euebrow ad said"She's in her room upstairs" nad then left .
Amelia hummed to her Ipod
