Jack soon found Amelia working. He said "Hey Amelia. What are you doing here?"

Amelia heard him but refused to look at him and said"Nothing at all"and continued working

Jack asked "Do you work here now?"

Amelia mused out "Maybe,Maybe not,I need money" she said

Jack said "Ah I see. "Well don't you think you should be getting to school though?"

She glanced at him and said"work first" nad continued her job

Jack said "Okay, see then." and left.

She watched him leave and sighed softly

Jack made it to school okay and went to his locker. He overheard someone who said "Did you hear about Amelia? I heard she's on probation for stealing."

Amelia kept working +
Another girl said"Yeah,some general store I think,350 dollars worth -
The girl said "I wonder if she might go to jail." Jack wasn't sure if this was true, so he was going to ask Amelia later."

The girl responded"Maybe she already has!"
Amelia went about her business -

Jack sat down in class and wrote down the teacher's note. -

Amelia was at home couting the money she had earned -
Jack called up Amelia to ask about the rumor he heard earlier.
