"Uh... I think it's a Black diamond rattlesnake." Tokalla replied.
-
kallia shrieked when she realized she could've been killed by it. "a-are those hard to kill?" she managed to stutter.
-
"No. Rattle Snakes are very kind and patient animals." He sighed, looking at the snake with pity. "Though, if you stepped on her then I suppose she could have been dangerous." He sighed.
-
kallia looked disappointed as she tossed the snake meat in the fire to cook it and the snakeskin in her tent. her back turned on him.
-
"So, why do you keep secrets from others? And if you don't want them knowing, why do you write a book about them?" He asked, using berrys to make paint for her shelter.
-
"because some people want to keep them secret. and we write them to remember them and lock them." she mumbled back.
-
"Like how we make weapons to defend our selves, but lock them away so no one takes them?" Tokalla asked.
-
"yes. just like that." she couldn't supress a small smile as she fiddled with the snake with a stick, stuffing its mouth with berries.
-
"Well, I apologize. I'm sorry for disrespecting you." He replied. "But did you see what I built?" He asked.
-
bump!)
-
"Yes. yes i did." she replied calmly before snatching the snake out of the fire, shaking her hand to cool the burns, and cutting it, eating it.
-
Tokalla smiled and walked into the forest.
-
"this is good!" she replied before he left. curiosity suddenly flooded through her as she followed him silently, carefully stepping over anything.
-
He could sense her following him. He smiled aa an idea ran through his brain. He kept waking but changed his original direction. He walked to a very pretty lake that was in the forest. It had roses surrounding it and a small hill that had a water fall! A pack of leopards was drinking from it. The pack leader looked up, nodded to Tokalla, looked untrustingly at Kallia, but lead her pack away when Tokalla nodded back. He sat at the lake and stared at the sky quietly for awhile.
-
kallia realized quite early that he knew and had given up halfway. now she was sitting in a tree, staring at the sky, not noticing the fact the branch was cracking slightly.
