HAHA they both had their own bloody noses that amuse me so much
Garrett waited patiently, his head cloudy as he listened for any signs that someone would be greeting him. He could hear a bit of commotion from the other side of the door, taking a moment to jump slightly upon watching it swing open. His eyes squinted, his hands shoving themselves into his pocket as R'yleh stood on the other side, scurrying off directly afterwards, however. He did not walk even a step into the house, not exactly comfortable with the offer. Everything was enough to cause him to regret coming. After all, he had at least implied that he would call the other male if he felt that he was feeling even just a little down. He hadn't, however, and he felt that if the other boy was even suspicious, s--- would go downhill as they had on the previous day. He rubbed his lower arm gently, recalling that he had not taken a shower and that the information was still most likely written along his skin. It was a peculiar thing to be focused on at such an early hour, but Garrett paid no mind. Upon noticing the girl, he shut his eyes, turning away, granting her with a bit of respect. Not that anyone knew, but he was totally into guys, so it isn't like would have popped a boner in front of the siblings, but he assumed it was best to seem like a decent person. He silently gave thanks upon hearing the door close, R'yleh joining him. The teenager listened to the question, only nodding slowly. It took him a few moments to respond, and when he did, he replied simply with, "Ready." Upon muttering this word, he took the opportunity to begin walking down the stairs that would lead them to the parking lot, hopefully where the car was situated. -
Ugh I'm stir crazy out of my mind
lol yeah.
R'lyeh looked over at him and chuckled, "So energetic this morning." He joked halfheartedly and still groggy, and grimy. He leaned on the railing for a moment watching before putting a hand on the railing and hopping over and landing and stumbling down a bit , he heard a a laugh on the other floor and looked at the lady standing in the doorway of her apartment smoking,
"Lele, don't fall again!" The sluggish, husky voice said. Making him blush a bit, "Don't think we didn't all hear you hit that floor!" The scratchy voice laughed and he heard a few loud yells of 'Is that R'lyeh!' or just 'R'lyeh' He jumped slightly and ran down the stairs, avoiding being attacked by children because with five little ones he would easily go tumbling down the stairs.
Once he hopped down the last few steps once he reached the bottom, he slowed his pace and walked out to the car and to their parking space. He unlocked the beat up impala and got in and unlocked the passenger door and pushed it open and threw his bag in the back and flipped down the visor and flicked open the mirror thing and sighed and hit his head against the seat. He opened the glove compartment and grabbed a napkin and a bottle of water, and started to clean up his nose, "So what did you take last night?" He asked wiping off the last remainder of blood and checked to make sure it stopped, "Aw... That might swell up." He whined lamely and poked at the skin around his eye and bit his lip to hold back a small hiss, "Eh... I can fix it if I have to." He said with a sigh. -
everything alright lovie buggie?
Garrett found it relatively intriguing that the other male appeared to be popular in his area, the exact opposite of himself. His house was settled directly on the left of a rotten old couple that had caught him sneaking home in the middle of early mornings or nights. On the other side was a forty year-old man that his father spoke to. On occasion, he would attempt to make small talk with Garrett, perhaps coerce the teenager into providing his assistance with his yard work or construction projects in his home. The male always, always denied, discovering that he found the man to be somewhat suspicious and that he never wanted to take the chance. Due to this, his first impressions of R'yleh's neighbors were pleasant. They seem to be genuinely kind people, but he refrained from making any comments about them, deciding that it would not make for a decent conversation, and that he was not in the mood for any in depth talking.
He settled himself into the designated seat, dropping his backpack at his feet while he cleared his throat. He observed R'yleh, finding it somewhat coincidental that he owned a bloody nose himself. He recalled the streams of scarlet red that had been flooding from his nose just a short while before, raising his eyebrows in slight amusement. Upon hearing the boy's question, he itched the back of his neck, and, without even thinking, responded with, "Morphine." He proceeded to look out of the window, craning his neck in order to see out of the vehicle more clearly. The boy sighed, attempting to change the topic, "But you...kinda, hurt yourself. How'd that haplen?" He sighed. "Happen, excuse me." -
R'lyeh chuckled when he said morphine, "I'm not going to even ask how you got that cause I don't want to know." He said, he heard the others lame attempt to change the subject and ignored it, "One time, my father got is leg completely distressed, probably by a loan shark or something, I still don't really know or care, and he had that stuff, on by the last prescription bottle, he was completely addicted but also completely fine, me and Ari somehow knew a huge problem'd be coming out of this. She dumped his pills, as you can imagine, that didn't do over well. Thing is, I'm obviously more of a smartass then my sister so he thought it was me, I got a nice pretty concussion, I think, there obviously wasn't a hospital trip involved." he said and paused, "'We all heard you hit the floor" thats what she said, it was more then that, it was an 'Are you okay?' thats what it always is. Yesterday I told you you don't understand and the truth is I hope you never do, so, if I ask again, no when I ask again, if you took, smoked, snorted or whatever and the answer is yes you say, 'You don't want to know.' if its no you say that, if you need me you have to call me, I don't care what time Garrett, phone line is 24/7. I can come whenever, don't hold back." He said and started to drive, "And I just fell, don't worry about it."
-
Garrett listened intently, attempt to reward the boy with as much attention as possible. He never took the time to pull his eyes away from the transparent slab, eventually letting his head rest against it, discovering the cool surface to be soothing. His heart ached for the other, especially upon hearing the abusive actions performed towards him by the parent. His own father had never been a model individual of society, but he'd never extremely injured the bot. Sure, words hurt, but injuries left marks and scars that sometimes were never capable of disappearing. "I'm sorry about your dad." He frowned at the boy's warnings and suggestions, nodding his head over and over so that the conversation would end quicker. "Okay. Next time I'll call you. Sorry I didn't this time." He rubbed his hands together, clasping them and setting them into his lap. As he sat, watching their surroundings pass by like a fast cinematic feature, he began apologizing, rubbing the space in between his eyes. "I'm sorry, you know? Sorry. I'm not a bad guy, you know." Perhaps he was rambling due to being fully off of his high. "I'm a good kid, I like to think. I was a really good student, too." He apologized again. "I was a really f---ing good student. I just, I don't know what's- I?" He shrugged, running his hands through his messy hair. "I know, but I just." He grunted, leaning back roughly against the seat. "Forget I said anything." He rubbed the back of his neck, silently praying they were near the school so he wouldn't have to worry about spilling his heart out again. The male leaned back against the window, his arms crossed, guarding himself like he typically did.
-
R'lyeh stared ahead as he drove, "Look, I didn't ask for you're pity when I told you the story, my father... Never left too many scars." He said slowly. He listened it Garrett talk, "I mean I could just call you ever half hour like clockwork, just to make sure." He joked, "Look Garrett I know your not a bad guy, no one is completely bad." R'lyeh put his hand on Garrett's leg, "Calm down." He said slowly, "You're getting all panicky." He said his eyes glancing over to the other male as he relaxed a bit more into his seat. He hmmed quietly and pulled into the school and drove around into a parking lot, until he found a spot and turned off the car, "Okay, Garrett, look at me." He said shifting over and looking at him, "If you need me during class you have to text me, okay, I have no problem leaving but I do need to know. Text me before lunch and I'll come find you or I'll just hunt you down." He said with a chuckle, "Ready?" He asked.

been spelling this poor kid's name wrong for so long i apologize
The teenager looked to the other male, smiling in his most believable fashion. He nodded thankfully, his eyes soft and in a gazing, glossy state. It was heartwarming to hear how much the other male cared. Since his injury, he had been left in a very isolated state of loneliness, something he had always been frightened of. Dying alone felt like it could be the worst thing for an individual like Garrett, but hearing the other boy's worry and gentle words made his heart swell, made him recall that there were decent people settled into the human existence. He smiled crookedly at the thought, looking to the hand that was placed upon his leg. He pat the top of it softly as he muttered another statement of gratitude towards R'lyeh. "I'll text you, I promise. You've got Garrett Harp's word." He meant it as sincerely as he could in that moment, his eyes wandering to the other boy's facial features. He furrowed his eyebrows, admiring them for a moment before he caught himself, shook his head, and realized their new surroundings. A breath of exhalation came from him as he nodded reluctantly. "So totally extremely ready," he said, chortling quietly as he exited the car, lazily slinging the backpack over his shoulder. He closed the passenger side door, looking to R'lyeh with his squinted eyes. "Are we gonna meet at lunchtime or something?" he asked as they began to approach the school, assuming that the other male would wish to do something as such. -
...?
R'lyeh smiled, "Good, Harp you better." He mocked with a smile. He leaned back in his seat with a smile and listened to him with a small smile and relaxed into the seat. He watched Garrett for a few seconds before he grabbed his bag and opened the door and grabbed his coffee. He locked the car and tossed his keys in his bag, and jogged over to Garrett. When he was close he sped up a bit and jumped at him, slinging one arm around his shoulders, "Yes, of course, we're getting lunch." He said, "What the f--- else would we be doing? I mean, unless you have other ideas, Harp." He said the last part quietly and in a seductive way pulling him in a little closer and kissed his temple before letting him go and taking a large drink out of his coffee. -
I've been spelling R'lyeh's name as R'yleh for like this entire time I think
Garrett had never been one to thrive off of affections granted to him by others, but something about R'lyeh's actions towards him made his stomach churn as though an army of butterflies was slamming against it in all sorts of directions. He could feel his heart pick up in rhythm upon feeling the boy's lips connect with his temple, something that was soothing and placated his worries about the previous night and what he'd done. Sure, he did wrong, and he most definitely should have called the male as soon as he felt his mind wander to the need for a high, but he felt forgiven in a sense. He bit his top lip, nodding in understanding. He even allowed a small tone of chuckles come from his throat. "I mean...s---, you've got me so worked up I forgot my pickup line." His eyes widened at how idiotic the distasteful joke was, but he hoped that the other male would receive it humorously. Flirting, even in a joking manner, had never been and never would be his forte. One had to give him brownie points for trying, however. He assumed that the other was most likely only attempting to help, that their time together would only consist of a friendship. But it was fun to joke, he guessed. -
Oh lol I didn't notice.
R'lyeh chuckled at the joke, assuming it was, he'd feel a little bad for laughing if it wasn't. He took another drink from his coffee, "I should of put some vodka in this..." He said seriously and then cracked a smile, "Maybe not the time for alcoholism jokes, hun." He said with a small chuckle. He looked over/up at the boy and cracked another smile and nudged into him, "Maybe it's a good thing you forgot you line. I may act easy, Garbear, but your cheesey lines will not work on me." He said and paused, "I wanted to continue that joke but anything I could of said could be taken the wrong way... And that doesn't help my point." He said probably a little too proudly, and smiled at him while biting his lip. He glanced over, something catching his eye, and saw his sister's friends watching him in an odd way but Garrett also being caught in it. He changed the direction his eyes were looking and bumped into Garrett again a little ruffer this time with his hip. -
Now I know xD
Garrett laughed quietly as the bit about vodka, shaking his head at the boy's statement. Upon being nudged, he took the opportunity to gently push the other back, finding great joy in being so playful with him. It was something that he had not been given the opportunity to do since being forced to leave the basketball team due to his injury. All of his friends had also been teammates, so once he was no longer a teammate, he grew further apart from the others. Being so friendly with someone else was a much needed change for the teenager. "You know, I could probably dream up some good lines if you gave me about twenty years to sit and think about them." He smiled widely. "Unfortunately for me, I'm not as quick and witty as you are." He did not seem to mind that, however. He was thankful to have a friend with a trait that he himself did not own. It would make for more interesting conversations and may even work to improve his own social skills. Once he received the rougher shove, he put his hands up in surrender. "Yikes. I'm frightened!" He shielded his face with his hands, clenching his teeth playfully. "Please don't hurt me!" He shot back to original stance after doing this, looking to R'lyeh. "I meant to ask you, but what classes do you take?" He tilted his head, anticipating the answer as he was genuinely interested in what the response may be. -
R'lyeh smiled slightly, "I don't think quickly, I don't have a filter. Don't have to think quickly when everything just tumbled out of my mouth." He says laughing, "Sometimes not having anything to say is better then running your mouth." He said with a smile and a bit of laughter still in his voice. He watched Garrett carefully in his actions and half wanted to laugh but didn't. He looked over at him and pouted when he was asked about his classes, "Well..." deciding to ignore the question, he jumped at Garrett slinging an arm around his shoulders and ending up in front of him, stopping their walking. "Baby, you should be very frightened of me." He said in a way more sexual way then intended, of course, R'lyeh, didn't notice because he was use to psychical contact but he had so casually pressed majority of his body against Garrett's. "And classes wise its just English, Art, Science and gym," He said the last word with disgust, he leaned in close to his ear and whispered, "So keep me away with all you have, bad boy."
-
He listened to the boy carefully, his eyebrows furrowing every now and again as he nodded. "I see, so you're a talk before you think kinda person? That can be interesting, but also dangerous if you talk to the wrong person. I feel like you're the type that would tell a gang member off." He snorted at the thought, but refrained from expanding upon his statement. It isn't as though evidence was necessary. His new friend had already admitted that he spoke before he thought, so there was nothing to worry about with what he had chosen to say. His breathing hitched when R'lyeh grew closer, his eyes narrowing and making contact with the other's. It vaguely reminded him of his previous relationship with a guy named Jackson. Unfortunately, however, the relationship was typically an opportunity for both males to get high together and possibly take part in a make out session every now and again. It was never exactly fulfilling, but it was an enjoyable fling while it persisted. He listened to the classes one by one, his eyebrows raising. "Artsy fellow, eh? Interesting." He relayed his own classes in his head, his eyebrows then wiggling. "When you have gym, I have this s---ty German class that I absolutely hate. Maybe I can go all Superman and save you." He chuckled, hearing the bell ring for entrance into the school. "That's our cue," he said, side stepping the male and beginning to walk towards the entrance.
-
He chuckled, "Do I look like the kind of person who does anything before I think?" He asked with a smile, his smile faded a bit and his brows knitted together, "I have, whats wrong with that?" He asked a little confused. His arm that was around the other males shoulders slacked a bit and he played with the other males hair a bit, "Yeah, I do artsy best. Not much else but hey I can draw." He said with a smile, "You make it sound like I can do some amazing thing, what does Garrett secretly want a nude done? Want to get into some sexy alluring pose and make me draw you?" He asked pulling in closer a bit his voice becoming a bit more seductively. Hearing the comment of saving him from gym he perked up like a puppy, "Aww, Supermans got nothing on you, babe! Save me from the awful gym!" He said he groaned quietly hearing the bell and turned around watching the male before jumping on his back, "Superman oh please, carry me to class!" He called in more of a mock damsel in distress.
-
Garrett found his mind wandering into positive strings of thoughts, absolutely dumbfounded by how absolutely enjoyable the company was. Perhaps the statement the other male had made just the day before would ring true-- maybe he would be capable of providing him with a high that drugs weren't able to offer. He shook his head at the thought. The main reason he had never taken the time to get off of the dangerous substances was because of the fear of withdrawal and the effect it would have on him. He could barely last the entire school day without feeling the anxious desire for more and more of the sweet comfort he'd been stuck on for little bit more than nine months. "Yeah, I don't judge." His cheeks nearly flushed into a salmon pink hue upon hearing the question, the lobes of his ears becoming slightly warmer. "If that's the kind of art you're into, gladly." He let out a small 'oof' when the boy placed himself into piggyback position, but Garrett instinctively grabbed securely onto his legs. As he stepped through the entrance of the school, he asked, "What room?" He fully intended on doing as the boy asked, finding the playful silliness to be inherently amusing and attention-grabbing. This was a necessary characteristic as it would aid Garrett in keeping his mind off of his addiction for the time being.
